I'm asking everyone to take a minute to review your entries and check your e-mail for messages from me. You have till 10:00 PM CST.

I'm doing something I don't normally do, checking everyone's icons, but I need to for this challenge to make sure all the guidelines have been followed.

Also remember, if you need to make any changes to your icons or have some last minute tweaking, now is the time to do it. You have till 10:00 PM CST.

Also, don't forget to tell me which actor you want in your winners banner, otherwise I will put whoever I want to put and it might be someone you hate. *smirk*

Hi everyone, while we're waiting to find out who the winners are for Challenge 7 I thought I would go ahead and make a few announcements.

I am going to post the Round 2 sign up entry in a few minutes. I want to give everyone at least a month to sign up and get all their advertising points in.

Challenge 1 of Round 2 will be posted after voting for Challenge 10, Round 1 is posted. Participants will have the usual week to get their icon made and entered.

I also wanted to let you all know that there will be a Round 1 winner as well as two runner-ups.

I was also thinking about picking a Mod's Choice winner for the Round or perhaps a most improved icon maker for the round. I'm not sure how that would go over, so I'd like to know what you all think. Would you rather me just pick a Mod's Choice based on all the icons from the ten Challenges or would you rather I pick a Most Improved. Or...and perhaps this is even a better idea...would you all like to vote on a most improved? The only icon makers I would be able to include in this award would be icon makers who still have all ten of their challenge icons up.

So anyway, I'm leaving that decision up to all of you. Here's a poll to make it easy.

I wanted to let all of you know how much I appreciate the wonderful turn out we've had for the challenges here.

I've mentioned before how I like "rumble" icontests better than LIMS because they are kinder and gentler. Another reason I like them is because I think they give an icon maker a chance to improve their skills. Paying close attention to the special categories helps with this because it encourages you to think in a way that perhaps you haven't thought before when making an icon.

There is one other reason I like "rumbles". And that is, the icon makers get to stay for the whole round. Even though winning is great, it's not always what it's all about. A lot of the fun of icontests is just challenging yourself to make the icons requested of you. At least I hope that's the way you all feel.

A few of you really enjoyed the noir challenge and I'm hoping to come up with some other challenges that require a certain style or are of a certain genre.

On that note I'd like to open up the floor for suggestions. You can put them in comments to this entry. They can be anything you want from the types of graphics I make available, to challenge suggestions or whatever you have a thought about. Feel free to express it here.

I've noticed a lot of people are signing up for Round 1 and that's good, that's great, that's fine(my pathetic attempt at Josef humor). Actually, that's awesome!

If you notice that you haven't been added to the "participants list" you might want to check the User Info to find out why. ;)

This reading of the User Info thing is common practice in Rumble and LIMS icontests. It's not that long, so please take a moment to READ THE RULES ON THE USER INFO PAGE.
