I don't know about you, but I think it's fun to go out of your comfort zone in icon making and try something different. You all lived up to the challenge by making icons that were gorgeous and simple, yet spoke volumes or were just plain artsy. Nice job everyone! :)

I'm doing something different and very challenging for the final challenge of Round 2. I've seen some other rumbles and lims do this so I thought I would give it a try.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPHS CAREFULLY AS WELL AS THE "CHALLENGE RULES" BELOW. THEIR ARE SOME SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS TO INCLUDE IN YOUR ICON BATCH.

You will be making icons of the four main actors from Moonlight...Alex O'Loughlin, Sophia Myles, Jason Dohring and Shannyn Sossamon. I've provided 6 images of each actor. You will be making four icons, one for each actor.

I tried to find a variety of pictures. Obviously I was limited on some of them. Shannyn was by far the easiest to find pictures for. She's done some really awesome photo shoots. She's naturally beautiful and the camera looooooves her. You'll have fun with her images. :)

That being said, all the main actors from Moonlight are beautiful don't cha think?

There will be three special categories in this challenge. You can try for one of them or all of them, it's up to you and your creativity. Each category is worth 3 points this time. So you can make all the icons in your batch have interesting cropping to try and get those 3 points, for example.

The most important thing to remember about this challenge is that your icons will be voted on as a batch and not individually. So if you want to go with a theme please feel free to do that. it can be anything you want.

You must be signed up for Round 2 to enter. Sign ups for Round 2 are now closed. Please stick around for Round 3.

Please enter 4 icons. One for each actor. Icons for this challenge will be due Wednesday, July 30th at 10:00PM CST. I am giving you plenty of extra time to get your icons made and submitted.

Ooooo, this challenge got some interesting icons. I should have made the special category Best Cropping, but it wouldn't be fair for me to change it now. So it's staying Best coloring. But the cropping on these icons is really nice.

OK, don't forget you will be voting on three negative space icons. I've made a poll for you to vote on those. Also, I've added some icons to this group even though the icon maker didn't indicate they were trying for it.

OK, I hate to do this to you all, but there are so many ties in Challenge 7 that I can't post the winners yet. More people need to vote. I'm leaving in the morning to go on vacation for a week. I'm supposed to have internet access where I'm going and if I do I will post the winners while I'm gone. If not, it will have to wait till I get home.

Also, I will be home late Sunday night, July 6th. This means that I probably won't get voting posted right away for Challenges 8 and 9. So, I'm just going to go ahead and give you till Wednesday, July 9th to get your icons for both challenges turned in. Plus, it's a holiday weekend for a lot of us and you might need the extra time. :)
