German broadcasting
The German broadcaster ProSieben has updated its website. Now there are a few information about the show, downloads and even a competition.

Here.
Also, I've seen the promo yesterday, and it doesn't look too bad! They didn't show any dubbing yet, but they did put the clips nicely together. Maybe ProSieben is once trying to make a show work.

German titles for the episodes
I just checked the website called Wunschliste.de which is a quite reliable source, so I guess it's worth to post here.

The names of the first three episodes (airing June 23 at ProSieben) seemed to be fixed now.

No such thing as vampires - Es gibt keine Vampire

Out of the past - Schatten der Vergangenheit

Dr. Feelgood - Dr. Feelgood

I'm sure the rest of the titles will pop up quite soon.

Especially the first title made me laugh. It does make sense, but it's still quite awkward to read that.

This Isn't Promising: Renewal Rumblings
Renewals and cancellations are flying fast and furious on this, the first official day of "upfront" week. Here's the latest:

[...]

• CBS is expected to bring The Unit back, and may slot it on Fridays at 9 pm. What does that mean for Moonlight? Good question.

ETA: Thanks, [info]storytellerslie:
Don't freak out yet, but the word on Moonlight is suddenly trending negative.

My personal favorite Moonlight source just informed me of rumblings that the show was not looking good for a season-two pickup.

Sadly, Variety's Cynthia Littleton (who is a crackerjack reporter of the highest order) is saying the same thing. In particular, Cynthia reports, "CBS is high on a bunch of its drama pilots this year (no surprise there), and thus, there may not be room on the Eye's sked for more Moonlight next season."

Now, nothing is official until Wednesday, when CBS presents its 2008-09 slate to advertisers, so no need to panic yet, but I thought you guys would want to know the word on the street, for better or for worse.

Source One, Source Two

Question is, if it's renewed, where will they put it? Will it be a midseason replacement (also not good)?

ETA: Let me just say this. If ML is canceled, then it was really damn fucked of Joel Silver to tell the cast not to book work for the new season. If ML isn't renewed, he just screwed this cast out of jobs next season.

Moonlight on the German telly.
I just got the news that the German broadcaster ProSieben bought our beloved Moonlight. Quotenmeter said it's going to be broadcasted in June 2008.

That's good news, isn't it? Heh, I don't know how many German members this community has, but I guess that's a quite interesting piece of news for everyone.
Still, I'm a bit nervous about the fact that ProSieben is going to show the episodes. It's not very good at treating new series well.

Mods, I didn't know how to tag this one. Help?

New Episodes Pushed Back to April 25th
We've just had confirmation from CBS that the new episodes of Moonlight will begin airing April 25th, rather than the April 11th date originally announced. With the effort of getting the production up and running again, having an extra couple of weeks to perfect the episodes is probably welcomed by those working to create our show! Plus, this means the episodes will be airing during May sweeps, which is a vote of confidence from CBS, in our opinion.

Scheduling Change...
According to a press release issued by CBS on December 20th, 2007, a rebroadcast of S01E03 "Dr. Feelgood" will air on Friday January 4th, 2008 at 9:00PM ET - the normal Moonlight spot. Barring a mistake by the publicity department, this would indicate that new episodes of ML are being held back.

You can read the relevant copy from the press release here:

I'm currently waiting for further confirmation from one of my contacts at CBS on scheduling changes.

Good News from Moonves

Read here, you'll smile.  Trust me.

"Look for CBS to begin airing sister pay cable network Showtime hit drama Dexter sometime in midseason if the Writers Strike is prolonged, and for the broadcast network to bring back freshman sitcom The Big Bang Theory and first-year drama Moonlight next season."

And here.

"Of the five new series on the Eye so far this season, Moonves said that two -- "Moonlight" and "Big Bang Theory" -- are likely to return. He said he'd take two out of five any day."
