My aunt and I were talking about the series... and she said that Moonlight is ending PERIOD. She said she saw something on the tv about it being the series finale and not the season finale. I am not sure I believe her. But still... Opinions?

CBS led this typically uneventful third Friday of the May 2008 sweeps with its combination of Ghost Whisperer (Viewers: #1, 8.74 million; A18-49: #1, 2.1 rating/8 share), Moonlight (Viewers: #1, 7.68 million; A18-49: #2, 1.9/ 6) and Numb3rs (Viewers: #1, 9.13 million; A18-49: #1, 2.2/ 7). To the fans of Moonlight lighting up the boards at PIFeedback, renewal for a second season is still 50/50. What doesn’t help, of course, is the low rating among adults 18-49, which is no better than year-ago occupant Close to Home. And CBS canceled Close to Home because it skewed too old.

Lots of nice stuff about Jason, Alex, Sophia, and newbie Eric Winters, whom I really don't want to get sucked into liking, but I think it's too late. *hee*

In less than a week, we will finally know the fate of CBS's Moonlight: Picked up or not? I would love to give you some advance notice on the verdict, but there is no word yet according to exec producers Gabrielle Stanton and Harry Werksman. They expect to hear next week, and we'll be sure to bring you the announcement as soon as we know!

Howevah! In lieu of pickup news, I did get the next best thing: scoop about the finale!

Looks like Shannyn is joining Showtime's Dexter, if this blog is to be believed.

On the teevee front, I hear all the dumpy ladies who hated Jaime Murray and her Lila character (for being hot/interesting/not a single mom) on the second season of Dexter, might just have someone new to hate, in the upcoming season three. Hearing that Shannyn Sossamon will turn up, and it kind of makes sense, as it’s in keeping with the show’s undercurrent of American Psycho worship: Shannyn hung out with Patrick Bateman’s brother in the incredibly underappreciated, The Rules of Attraction.

Personally, I'm waiting for more solid confirmation, but if it's true, I wonder if she'll be balancing ML and Dexter or if she's off ML for good.

If she's off, then they will probably drop the bloodline/Lance storyline, which kind of sucks.

ETA: This is not an official confirmation- we will bid Shannyn bon voyage when Showtime or Variety/Hollywood Reporter sends out that press release. She could just be doing a guest spot.

ETA2: Many apologies, but Dexter pwns ML, all 1000+ of us, and Les Moonves. Combined.

Does anyone have the original picture of this? I keep seeing it around the place in icons and banners, but I'm having a hard time finding the original...
