Mod's Choice: mscam  - I was debating for some time before setting this voting up if you can choose an icon that's already won something to be the mod's choice (found it was kinda against the point of Mod's Choice) ... but this icon was just too much goodness to not be picked. I simply love the four tiny cut outs. Also it answered my question for is it possible to get all of that scene into one icon. The icon is stunning the colouring of the cutouts is really good and make them more harmonious. The only small negative is that the full moon could risk taking the attention from the rest of this stunning icon.

Defining "Negative Space": A negative space is a part of the icon that has no to very little texture, and does not contain any stockphotos or image used for the general icon. It also features scarce or no brushes/text.

So far we have 5 wonderful entries - but more would be loved adored and probably worshiped a little. 

This was an interesting round and very enjoyable to see how a colour like yellow - which was not a very popular colour on Moonlight can be used in icons.

This is just a quick entry to summarize the changes that's been made to the community

The community time has been changed to GMT ( US = GMT -8 to -5, europe= GMT to GMT+2, australia= GMT+8 to +10) I have for this challenge put both the new and old time on the challenge - I won't keep doing that ...

Also I am changing the schedule for the next challenge to better benefit from the whole week and to make it easier for me to get things done on time. I will try and post reminders as often as possible (2nd or 3rd day) in the beginning to make sure the new schedule is kept and not forgotten.

This will hopefully give you more time to put up entries and me time get the new challenges ready so they are up on time. If anybody is very interested in helping me mod you are welcome to say so here or as a comment to any other post. I won't be posting anything official for any sort of mod position anytime soon as the new schedule and change of timezone and my planning ahead for the next month is all very much a stress relief, but all and any help is appreciated. Also banner makers - if any of you are no longer interested or fell you have the time to continue please do tell at anytime.

This will be the next to last (possibly the last depending on my schedule around the start of this quarter (Q1)) this also has a slightly late end date as I am helping a friend and fellow student of mine celebrate her 25th Birthday very thoroughly. For this challenge there's some images from the excellent last episode of Moonlight - Sonata. So please use this brilliant episode to help inspire you to make something.

Also! After Lady_Boromir's sad goodbye I have been left in charge of this community - I will be making a very few changes such as timezone as I am in an entirely different part of the world (GMT -1) also until September there will be two week challenges as I am superbusy with re-examinations and exams. I will not be changing the format of this community as I think it is brilliant and she did built a thriving, open and friendly icontest.

In September I will open up for application to mod this community - more on this later when I get it done and decided on. This will also be when I might change a few things.
Hopefully you will all stay onboard and keep up the good work and entering!

As most of you have probably noticed, I haven't been around to post weekly challenges or any other such things for this community. The sad truth of the matter is that I've neither the time nor the motivation to continue running this community. With school starting up soon, I'm having to prioritize and give certain things up. Unfortunately, this community is one of them. Fortunately, the lovely winifred_ish has been keeping things running smoothly here (for which I am incredibly grateful!) and I'm now completely passing the buck, as it were, off to her, should she choose to continue running this community. winifred_ish, please feel free to pick and choose more admins to help you out around here as I will no longer be able to. The community is now all yours. :)
