League of the Moon  If we don't get one I may have to do one myself. It seems insperation is not biteing again. I've exstended the deadline for Episode 8 to the 14th. There are 9 of us here so far so maybe what we need is more people. after all we can't all be produceing all the time. so your mission for the week is not just to come up with a new episode but to get your freinds involved. I'm sure you know more places to preach than I do. Put the word out and lets see who we can get involved. Only a few more days till the next episode date. You've all done great work so far. We need your ideas and episodes to keep this thing going. It may have taken a little Longer than I exspected but we do now have an Episode 7. Well Done to Sangluna for coming up with one from a very open previous strip. Also well done for not only moveing the plot on, but doing it with great humour. I hope to decide the next episode on August 7th. We now have three/four seperate charaters. Pye seems to have run off but does he have more reasons than most to fear Demons? It's not officialy part of the continuety of the story but do any of you remeber this? Are Demons an unwilling part of this entertainment. Rebecca is on her own in 19th centuary Southwark which is bad enough but now there's a demon about.Is she pray or maybe even a hunter. How much does she know about demons? Nothing? an exspert? The demon has run. Why? It has till dawn then the moons power will fade and the human will take back it's form and body. If you have one night in London would you enjoy yourself or find a means of makeing sure this will not be your only one. and somewhere lurking inside the demonic form is our Narator. It's not his body any more, has he any power over it? can he even see out? is he just lost in the demon's mind? It's up to you. I spent a long time colouring this yesterday,but i finally got it finished about 1.00ish last night *phew* http://vertigo.ninjapirates.co.uk/galle Ps-i figured the demon was in mid-change in the previous panel,so thats why he's more lumpy/horny (o_o)now. Its my Birthday!!!*dance* Sorry :-P Demons are an ancient magically powerful race of beings predating humans and there for the moon touched. They originate in another place, parallel to us along a plane of existence normal men and indeed most moon touched have no comprehension of. Demons can not travel in physical form from that place but can send their spirit which can then posses certain beings giving them physical presence in this world. Unfortunately for both the moon touched and demon kind the only beings they can possess are the moon touched and then they can only take control of a form when it has been changed to animal form. One night a month not being enough Demons learned to fashion new homes for their spirits from the bodies of the dead killed in a specific way so as to let them in at time of death. The demons could then warp and augment those bodies. The demons tried to take lordship over mankind setting themselves up as gods. Their main power was in east and many legends of them still remain hidden in ancient mythologies and religions. Mankind fought back but the only ones with the power to fight such magical creatures and banish them from whence they cam were the moon touched and of all men they had the most reason. The war lasted a century or more the moon touched rallying around a Were-Karin and his four leftenants forming an order of magical warriors. Not all moon touched had powers appropriate to fighting demons but any that did not were welcomed to support the warriors in other roles. Thus in time still immemorial the Demon leader was slain and the other demons banished from this world. Weather to their own or to another is forgotten. The Order of warriors was also forgotten as demons passed in to legend, but it still exists it's name now a secret even from the league of the moon. It also covers the world; Watching, waiting and remembering the old skills. Occasionally a demon may stray in to this world and thus it's time becomes short and if one day the demons decide to take back what they once considered theirs they will be waiting. I may post a few more suggestions as the week goes on deppending on what comes in. I'm up for hearing your suggestions for long tearm plots to build around. It seems the last episode has foxed many of you. as such I am extending the deadline to the 24th. Meanwhile My suggestion would be try to come up with an entire story. Write it down if it helps then right the next page of that story. Don't assume there has to be some kind of conclusion in one page but instead set up for a conclusion in a few pages time. I was chatting with Sangluna over the weekend and some ideas about a war with demons came up. I'll post the resulting plot later to give you all a bit of inspiration. I'm off on a breif sabatical and will be back thursday. That's when I'm meant to be judgeing the next round so I need submisions in by then. We are looking to see what kind of creature this demon will be mixed with. What will it do. Will Pye and Rebbeca stand and fight? Will they fight the Demon or each other? How do you fight a demon anyway? is there somthing between it's legs you can kick? With any luck a few suggestions will be waiting when I return. It's down to you now folks. I have high hopes. Your all still brilliant Hiddenpaw - The Editor. I've added another power to the list at the bottom of the Mechanics of Lycanthropy page. I hope you will find it give insperation. It's been a real struggle to decide between Sabbath and Jazzy's submissions. I like both a lot. I must admit I wasn't totaly happy about the league not having control in London. I'm OK with them not having control over all in the city and with sombody else being in control in Southwark but they at least have to be unimpeaded in the City of London and control Fleet Street outright to control the press which the sinario requiers. Also they would need to be a formidable pressence in Whitehall and Westminster in genral (Technicaly Westminster is a different City to London and Southwark lies outside both). Anyway I do like the Idea of the Kirin I think it may be this is a plot line that can be introduced at a later date prehaps after the conclution of the story arc we have just embarked on or even as part of it. So Episode six is Sabbath Gold's submission. Are we about to have a demon hunt on our hands> Will Rebecca and Pye Team up or fight each other for control of the creature. Can they keep it from the public. What would be the effect on Lycanthropes proof of a strange creature got out? More tricky still how will we handle the Narration for the segments of the story where the Narrator is a deamon. Dose he know what the demon is doing with his form? Dose the Narrator have the ability to exsorsise any control over the demon? Does the Demon only have power over our Narrator while the moon keeps him out of human form? will a return to human form put the denom under the control of the narator till the next full moon? Why is he Possesed in the first place? Just a thought that occured to me but this story is set in 1881. Anyone wishing to use Jack the Ripper in the story should check what dates he was opperating before doing so. I guess that's all for the moment. Over to you lot. Due to my having to attend a family wedding the 10th I shall declare the next episode on the 14th of July. Get working and don't forget to spread the word. |
