Montréal

I'm interested in joining a book club that isn't limited to one genre or age group of participants.  I want to read a hell of a lot more in 2008 and would like to meet a few people who are doing the same.  To be able to read something and talk with a group of people about it sounds like fun.  Anyone know of anything like that in Montreal?

I recently graduated from university and I'm looking for a job, but since classes ended I haven't seen my friends around as much. Does anyone know of any fun, low-key social clubs that meet maybe once a week (preferably weekdays) and wouldn't mind a newbie? I'd be interested in a book club or something to do with art or even music. As you can probably tell from the username/icon, I'm very interested in Japanese language, anime and video games, so anything related to those would also be good, but I'd like to expand my horizons a little, too.

The Scrabble group sounds fun, but I just missed the latest meeting, I think. XD Maybe next time?

Can anyone recommend a good English book club in town? I know the Atwater library has one, but the meeting time is off for my work schedule.
