interviewees sought for an academic study on bartering/swapping/trading
Hello Montreal Livejournalers,
I am a university professor interested in the phenomenon of swapping/bartering consumer goods through online communities (such as livejournal, makeupalley, specktra, etc). I am seeking participants that I can interview about their bartering experience. I am most interested in cosmetics bartering, but I'd love to talk to you even if you have bartered/traded other things online (clothing, books, dvds, you name it). if you are interested in the study please check the research web site out and drop me a line:

Your participation is fully voluntary and you are entitled to remove yourself from the participant pool any time. Your name and other identifying information will be kept confidential.Unfortunately, there won't be any monetary compensation for your participation, but in my experience most interviewees find expressing themselves in a friendly and confidential setting very rewarding.
If you are interested, please drop me a line at bartering@jmsb.concordia.ca so that I can provide you more information and proceed ahead. Time-wise, I am flexible; so if you are currently busy but will be available in the upcoming months don't hesitate.
Please pass this message to anyone that you think might be interested in.
Merci!

Addendum: I put aside some grant money to use for this so I will be able to pay $20 to participants, $40 if it is a very long interview (more than an hour). I hope this is a good compensation for your time.
