Dustmite allergy (Bed Covers)

Calling all dust mite allergy sufferers!

Recently my dust mite bed covers ripped apart and I am in dire need of new ones as quick as possible.  I can't stand not being able to get good night sleep while dealing with itchy eyes and constant sneezing. Ordering online is a hassle so does anyone know where I could get my hands on dust mite-free mattress and pillow encasings here in Montreal?

Thank you. I appreciate it.

Allergist

I think this has come up before but I just want to double check.
I have a referall to see an allergist and these are my options:

Dr Blumer
Dr Calles
Dr Copeland
Dr Gutkowski
Dr Shahin
Dr Small

or the allergists at Jewish General, Montreal General or Dr Schultz at the Royal Vic.

I was going to see Dr DeLorme but the number on the sheet redirects to someone else (a Dr Jaime Delcarpio, no idea what their specialty is) and when I checked the address (on St Urbain) I was told s/he no longer works there.  I live downtown and work 9-6 so any info on any of these doctors would be super appreciated.  And yes, I could call each one to see their opening hours etc but if anyone here can help save me some time that would be great!

looking for a new allergist

my current allergist lacks bedside manners to the point of not listening to my questions and also doesn't believe in the link between allergies and certain ailments (like eczema for instance).

could anyone recommend a competent yet caring allergist? distance is not a problem. thanx!

Gluten-Free and stress stress stress!

My mum wants to take my boyfriend and I out to dinner (daunting enough on its own thankyouverymuch). But.
I'm a vegetarian, and the boyfriend is a celiac (he can't eat gluten).
I know something similar was posted before, but the only restaurent that was recommended for the gluten-free aspect was Bonnie's. And i'm not really sure what the atmosphere is like there (I need something a little upscale and pleasant).
Gluten-free thoughts, anyone?

Searching for professional apartment cleaners

Hi all,

My roommate and I have to get our apartment cleaned of all cat fur and dander for someone who's severely allergic to cats. Does anyone know of a good cleaning company that would be particularly effective for this?

We were told that simply vacuuming and dusting on our own wouldn't work, so ... help? We absolutely need to get rid of all traces of "cattiness".

Thanks in advance!

Allergy-specific restaurants

Hello everyone =)

My best friend is coming to Montreal with her boyfriend at the end of August and suggested we go on a double date to a nice restaurant.

The only restaurants I have been and could recommend to her would be Higuma, and Cafe Noir.  However she can not eat wheat, and she's very allergic to shellfish.  She can't even eat sushi that doesn't have any seafood in it because she's even allergic to the seaweed.

If any of you could recommend restaurants that do not have shellfish, and have a good selection of non-wheat items, that would be greatly, greatly appreciated =D
