FRINGE FLASH MOB
This Sunday, June 22nd, the Fringe festival is organizing a flash mob!!

We are all going to the show "Carlito: Nothing To Lose" at 3:00pm at the Cabaret Juste Pour Rire (2111 Blvd. St-Laurent).
He has not been selling very many tickets to his show and we want to all mob the crap out of it. He is a hip-hop artist from Montreal making his debut at the Fringe. Come join us on Sunday for 30 minutes of rapping that will blow your mind. Tickets are available at the door or in advance through our website (below), by phone (849-FEST), or at our box office at the corner of Rachel & St-Laurent.

THIS IS THE SWEETEST THING EVER!!!! I was planning on going to the show on Sunday anyway, so THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY! Thanks so much for doing this. Honestly, he seems like a really cool guy and a good rapper. And, I think it's important to support people who are doing different things in the Fringe! YAY YAY YAY!!!!

Call me sceptical, but this sounds like some shameless self-promotion (well, maybe more like indirect promotion, but still). I'm always leery of "spontaneous" public events that cost me money...

Regardless, I hope it turns out well!

You are right to be skeptical, but there is simply no way to make this event free to the public.

Our idea here is to choose one "underdog" show each year which isn't selling a lot of tickets, and flood their last performance with a huge audience. Simple as that.
