Thunder and lightning!
Did anyone see/hear the thunder and lightning a little while ago?  I'm on the plateau, near Sherbrooke metro, and we had some.  I've never seen that with snow before!

Just wondered if anyone else had seen it.  Lightning with snow is kind of pretty!

Oh yeah. That was cool.

I was at home next to the window (near the canal) when that happened. I saw a camera flash on my bf's face and he asked me whether it was from indoors. Then the thunder.

I thought there's an old French saying that snow and lightning do not happen together!

It happened right in front of the sunlife building! I was outside smoking and it banged so loud the building shook! Oo I was blinded for a couple of seconds there...

Freaky. Only happened once though, that's what's strange.

I almost had a heart attack!

Nope seemed to have striked in mid air but realy close to the ground.

Another weird thing is downtown every building has a thunder pole.

Seems that this can actually happen, although it is really rare. They just talked about it on the news.

I haven't seen it, but all my friends holed up in the McGill libraries are reporting it! Crazy. Glad I'm staying in today.

yeah! I was in the library and there was a really bright flash and the computers did wonky things for a few seconds. craaaazy.

i was walking down st laurent, and i seriously thought a street light had flashed/broken, then i heard the thunder....scary!

Yeah I saw a flash out of the corner of my eye (while indoors near my south-facing window), thought, nah, that couldn't have been lightning!

And I went out skiing later - glad I didn't know it was lightning til now.

PS - what's also strange is when I looked at TV midday for a look at the weather reports, I clicked across a channel where they were showing the film The Day After Tomorrow (the sudden ice age thing) which was on a scene with snow and massive storm clouds with lightning...

I didn't see it...I only heard it, but I thought it was a snow truck going by...but there were no trucks on the road. My father, who was outside, saw it.

I'm up at Snowdon metro, and thought I was going crazy when that happened. I came to the conclusion that there must have been a snow plow going by with a strobe light on it, but ... apparently not.

Truly bizarre.

I was at Peel and we thought there was a firetruck outside, except we only saw the flash once. Then we heard the huge bang and we thought Godzilla was attacking.

I was at work passing someone at cash and we heard something REALLY loud and the wife goes to her husband "oh my god was that thunder" he laughed at her face and said "hunny, its SNOWING" and then I laughed in my head.. and then.. um yah. it was pretty cool.
