Anyone know anything about a supposed street/sidewalk sale on Rue. Ste-Catherines?

I have a question. DUH. lol. My dad has some old nice pipes and tabacco, but I just want to confirm that if he's used the pipe, I need to throw it out and can't give it to someone else? How about the flavored tabacco. I assume that's still good if well kept? Can I clean a pipe and re-sterilize it? How can I tell if a pipe has been used or not? (that is, if it doesn't look used)

I need help. SERIOUS help. Massive, overwhelming craving for beaver tails. oh lordy-the awesomeness that is beaver tail with cinnamon or chocolate banana combo *swoon*   Can they be found downtown??  i can do downtown. I will not go to LaRonde just for the beaver tails (that would be crazy-right?)

These are England Underground, but unfortunately this particular style isn't sold here (I emailed them to ask)...
Does anyone know where I could find a similar pair?

I also have an old pair of boots (early 70's!) that are basically falling apart and need the heel and sole to be replaced, badly. They have quite a lot of value for me, and I don't want them to look funny because of a bad repair.

Any recommendation?

I'm currently a student for cosmetology here and have been interested in moving there in the future. Does anyone know a website or the requirements of obtaining a Cosmetology License there? (Hours needed, etc.) It changes upon location. I tried googling it, but couldn't find as much information as I needed.

I'm so glad to have found this community! I've been living in MTL for about a year now and I'm still pretty clueless XD

So basically I have an appointment at Tonic tomorrow, but I'm starting to freak out.. I asked for Emilie (who was real good from what I gathered) but is she THAT pricey? (poor student speaking here)..
And do they give off a lot of attitude? I was so taken aback when the receptionist asked for my whole name-adress-phone number when booking an appointment...
