bike repair classes

Hi all! Over the last few years, I've been getting more and more into biking. I want to take my biking experience a step further and be able to fix my own bikes (well, the basics, mainly so I won't have to take it into a shop so often).

Are there classes offered in Montreal or in the West Island suburbs for bicycle repair?

Thanks so much!

white hats

it appears the kkk has taken over the street in front of my apt.

edit: i live on sherbrooke. upon further inspection it is in fact the just for laughs parade, from my apt balcony 20 minutes ago it just looked like a ton of people in pointy white hats. sorry, im dumb.

Dietician/nutritionnist

I'm looking for a dietitian or nutritionist to help me eat healthier/have a healthier lifestyle. Bonus if this person is vegetarian/vegan friendly and can help me transition into veganism without me becoming anemic (something I'm very prone to). Double bonus if this person is covered by medicare or is relatively cheap. Working at Starbucks does not make me a very rich person but if it will help me in becoming a healthier person, I figure it's worth it.

Thanks much!

On an unrelated note, earlier I had told an lj user on this community that I'd give her 13 Dead End Drive. Unfortunately, after searching everywhere I couldn't find it. I'm really sorry.

How to get to.... Pittsburg?

I'm looking to get to Pittsburgh from Montreal circa Aug 2 - 6th. I'm not sure the ideal method.

The bus is gonna be something like 17 - 20 hours (WTF!!!) and won't give me a price anyway. That's a lot of time if we only have 4-5 days there.

Flying is ~ $500 round trip per person best case scenerio. But fast.

The trains don't really want to connect for me. Amtrak and Via websites are like "What? No way!" (paraphrased of course).

So yes, any advice would be welcome. I'll have to bite the bullet I guess but I wouldn't mind some advice if someone has done it before.
