Emergency Vet Help Needed!

Hi All,

A friend of mine found his cat in a pretty bad state last night. Looks like he may have been hit by a car and he's pretty beat up, but the injuries don't appear to be life threatening and he could go on to live a normal life after surgery, the thing is, the vet estimated at least $2,500 to fix him up (and that's a best case estimate), he just can't afford that and he didn't get approved for financing.

I've come to ask you wonderful people on his behalf if anyone knows of any cheap/affordable vet services or any vets that offer more lenient financing options in/around Montreal?

He took his cat to the emergency vet in Lachine last night and hasn't had a chance to look around/get other options, so I'm hoping to get some help on his behalf.

Any info you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Organizers needed

Does anyone know where I can get drawer and/or makeup organizers? I have so many THINGS lying around my room and right now they're all in shoeboxes. I'd like to have organizers so that they're easier to find when I need to use them.

I was thinking things like this or this, in all kinds of size and shape. The cheaper the better.

I'd rather no order anything online.
The store would ideally be downtown or easily accessible by public transport. I live on the South Shore, for reference.

Thank you!

Satellite Purchase & Installation

On a lighter note then my earlier post, can anyone recommend a good person/store in Montreal that does satellite installation, alignment and wiring? Also, where is a good place to pick up a satellite? If possible I'd like to buy the satellite and all equipment from the same place I have install it, but dependent on the price I'm willing to buy from one and have it installed by another.

Thanks again!

Lost

I know this is a long shot, but do any of you nice peoples take the 107 between 7-7:45 in the morning, and have come across a knitting needle? It wouldn't be the "typical" needle. It was part of an interchangable set, and the needle part is grey casein (plastic like) and about 3 inches long, it was attached to a blue cord, about the same width (3 3/4 mm - 5 US) about 4 inches long, and at the end is a little black disc (to hold the work on the needle. I wouldn't freak out over this horribly, but it's part of a set, and I'd rather not have to buy a whole new set, when this was a gift from a friend.
I'll be going to Berri in the next 2 days to go to the lost and found (it states to wait 48 hours), but I don't have high hopes. I've already emailed the company to find out if I can order just those 3 pieces, but again, not having high hopes with that either.

TIA

Egg donation

Hi everyone

I was wondering if any of you were aware of a place that pays for egg donations (as in ovary eggs not farm eggs =p)

I heard on [info]real_women  that some places pay up to 7k$ for donations if you are selected. I checked www.montrealfertility.com and they are mentionning a 6k$ FEE for a donation. Is that possible or am I just not reading right?

thanks
