Drum tobacco?

Does anyone know of a place that sells Drum Tobacco in a tin? Preferably West Island, but anywhere would be helpful.

GREAT service.

Our fridge died and I had to go shopping for a new one.  Luckily I went to Corbeil (the one on Newman in Lasalle) because they had some of the best service I've ever experienced.  For one thing, even though I showed up about 20 minutes before the store closed the salesman (Claude) was very patient and kept looking up fridge after fridge because the one I wanted wasn't in stock.  At no point did I feel like he was in a hurry to close or just hanging around to make a sale.

Also, for about $45 (incl. tax) they'll make a same day emergency delivery (before 10pm) if you buy your fridge before 3pm.  In fact, I called yesterday because it was obvious our fridge was dead not dying and the nice lady there arranged to have it delivered a day early.  In the end the truck broke down (she was *so* apologetic when she called to tell me) so I was back to having it delivered today but she was able to put a rush on it and I had the new fridge by 8:30 this morning.

The delivery guys were pros and it took all of ten minutes to get the new fridge in and the old one out.  We're on the second floor with a tight turn but that didn't seem to phase them.  My only issue is that there was nothing protecting the finish on the fridge but they didn't scratch it so all's well.

To sum up: good prices, excellent service, great delivery and one very happy customer.

edit: I thought it would be nice to see a post about a store that does things right for a change. :)

Leg waxing?

Since I've found the advice here to have been spot on in the past, I am once again going to ask for help:

Can someone please recommend where is a good place to go to get one's legs waxed, preferably in the downtown area, and preferably where I don't have to make a booking too far in advance!

Thanks!

Dive Bars

Hey, I'm visiting Montreal for the weekend for the first time ever (I'm from NY).

Can anyone recommend good dive bars? And preferably ones that play 80s punk rock? Especially ones with an awesome jukebox that offers said punk rock?

I checked the tags, and after two years of "bars" posts, I figured I'd ask here. Sorry if this is obnoxiously repetitive (I'm a member of the New Yorkers livejournal group, I have seen people eaten alive because of that). Thanks a lot!

Hi Montreal!

I am looking to try fake nails for the first time (acrylics, gels, plastics, I dunno) and I would like your suggestions of the best salons in town, preferably around NDG-CDN. Thank you!

Dog Spa

Does anyone know of a good fairly priced dog spa?

I want to have my dog washed and groomed but it's really expensive these days. Does anyone have a good place where they dogsit your dog until you can pick it up?

Thanks!

Job Ideas

I'm currently searching for a job but I need some suggestions. I'm in the precarious position of having a chronic pain problem due to a very physical job I had in the past SO..... I was wondering if anyone can suggest where to apply for a job that fits the following: Is a sit down job,  or at least most of the time, is part time, accepts people who have decent but not perfect French and if possible, is flexible if necessary to fit a couple of classes in in September. Any advice would be much appreciated. Oh, and I'm located in NDG by Westmount and am willing to travel to downtown, Westmount, further into NDG, Cote-des-Neiges and possibly places along the orange line. Thanks in advance.
