Hi everyone,
I have a question that the cubicle-dwelling humanoid at the McGill registrar's office was unable to answer (please consult the website...regulation/policy unknown...bip...bip...abort conversation).
I've seen the threads on getting Quebec resident status for tuition purposes before starting school, and am aware of the process. I'm not sure if this situation is different, but i'm gonna ask anyway.
Can anyone tell me if they've attended university in Quebec as a resident of another province, finished their degree, then stayed to work (the required 12 months) to get QC resident status, then went back to school? Was the process to switch over difficult, since you would have already had a permanent code already assigned previously? Was it possible for you to apply for Quebec student loans and provincial funding without difficulty?
I've heard some contradictory things from others, and i wish there was someone at McGill who could help me with this, but apparently there isn't (according to above humanoid).
Thanks :)
