In a discussion at Monkeemen, a group was thought to be needed to collect Monkees pictures since sites are drying up from movement beyond the fan base.
So looking toards Beatlespics, I have created this community to help save some Monkees pics.
Where Monkees fans can share any pictures from their own Monkees picture collection. The rarer the picture the better. Really creative fans can also share any artwork they've done based on the group, including icons. Now that we can embed youtube videos in our LJ posts it is allowed in this community, as well. When posting a picture make sure that your images aren't too large. If so place them behind an LJ cut. No more than 20 images per post please.
And most importantly ALL POSTS EXCEPT MOD POSTS MUST CONTAIN A PICTURE
Everyone is welcome to post, just use good judgment, such as if you post more than one picture, be nice and post behind a lj cut. If it is a large pic, also put behind a cut.

If you snag a pic and make something of it i.e. a lj icon, post it here and give credit to the picture poster and let us know if we can share it.
Also, tag the entry, by theme, ie. Davy, Peter, Mike or Micky, or the Monkees if all four are in the picture, and your username so that other members can easily find what they are looking for. If you're making a photo request, that should be included in the tag along with the member (s) of the band whose photo your looking for.
