im new to monkeesicons (as you can see) , and i have a quick question--
where's a good place to make icons?
i've been trying photobucket for around 2 hours now, but it's not working...

Hello, everyone! I'm new here, and I've already introduced myself over at the_monkees for those that are members there. Anyway, I thought I'd post a modest offering of icons. I'm new at this, so they're pretty basic, but hopefully you guys will approve. I tried put something in there for everyone, but I did go a little heavy on the Davy-ness. Brand New Monkees Icontest!

Well it seems that a lot of you would love to do an Monkees icontest, so I've gone ahead and started one!

monkeestills is now open. Our first challenge will start as soon as we've had enough people join the community, so join now!

I'm really excited about this guys, and I hope to see you all there (yes, even if you just want to watch :D)!

So I figured this would be the best place to ask this, considering the subject matter of the community, but if posts without icons or requests aren't allowed, I'm really, really sorry!

Would any of you fabulous icon makers be interested in participating in a Monkees Icontest? I'd love to start one, but I want to make sure there's enough interest first. I haven't figured out all the details yet, but I'm thinking it would be weekly (maybe every other week) challenges, where I provide images and you guys can make up to three icons for each challenge and then everyone votes. Awards would most likely be 1st-3rd place + mod's choice and if we get enough entries we could add some special categories like "Best Coloring" and "Best Cropping". We could even do a LIMS too, if enough people want one.

What do you guys think?

Phew, okay. :D I finished this batch of icons for now and there are 11 13 total including the ones from the previous post. GIF heavy, animation heavy. If you got a slow connection or computer, be warned. ;)

LOL, this one's probably not the right dance, but it's still amusing nonetheless.

Why hello. :) I'm a first time poster, but a seven (almost eight) year Monkees fan and I was just wondering what some of you all's favorite moments are from the TV show's episodes. The reason I ask this is because I want to make some animated icons and I can't think of any scenes or bits off the top of my head that I wanna make. So, suggestions would be nice, I think. ;) Let me know and I'll try my best to icon-ize them. Oh, and it has to be Season 1...because it's the only DVD set I have for now. :\
