I am making a general post to anyone who may catch this.
I mean no disrespect and thus not looking to be banned. I see this community is idle and thus possibly abandoned. I tried to email the owner but my email bounced. So I ask here.
If this community is no longer in use would anyone mind if I took over as administrator? I realize this seems like an odd request and I'll happily abide by the decision of whomever replies as owner of this community.
Please let me know your decision whatever it is you come to.

my marching band finished first at ussba champs! awesome'ness first time since 96! group 1a silver champs! it was so great to be out there on retreat and know you won it...great stuff we also got best perscussion and music, 5th place guard..ouch..but it was a bad show...for the guard anyway...but its ok...shit happens right?

we had our first competiton last night we got second whoo ho! with a 68.5 which is really good for the first time out. so i was excited! It was my first retreat too...it was soooo cold it wasn't even funny. we got best guard out of our group too that was a shock so i was excited about that. well im tired...going to go

I Also Had Insight Practice, hehe. This Is My Sceond Year With Them, and OMG The Season Is Gunna Be Amazing, hehe -maybe another medal in wildwood?- Im Just so Excited, Cuz I Only Saw Like 4 Of The People Over The Summer, So It Was Soo Nice To See Everyone Again, And We Had an Instructor From Blast! How Coolbeans Is That! hehe- im very happy :)

i had my frist practice on friday night with my new winterguard Insight...i had to much fun, it was the first time in a LONG time that i had fun at guard. Everyone is so great...and nice...and i love it so much the staff is great and everyone GETS along...for the most part...lol...i'm so excited about the season, i can't wait to find out the show! whoo who!

I Know This Has Nothing To Do With Color Guard, But Yesterday I Got My First Tattoo, LoL- Its The Chinese Charater For "Stregnth" ON My Lower Spine. and It Really Didn't Hurt, Now i Wanna Get To More Lil Symbols On Each Side, One For Beauty & One For Faith, hehe :)
And Im Having Color Guard Withdrawl, Since I Aged Out Of MArching Band, I Dunno what To Do - i Really Wanna Teach, So If Your In NJ & Looking Look MY way! hehe :)

After years of searching (ok weeks) we finnaly found the perfect song and i just wanted to share for all those having troube finding music. Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Lepord. i highly recomend this somg. our squad is doing a little didy with hats to start the song off. very sassy

Hi. My name is Jessica and I am in need of help. I am captain of our guard t his year, and we have no sponsor (we have no instructor...we make up everything o urselves) which means we have no adult supervision and no adult to help keep things going smooth. Do any of you have any advice on how to make your guard listen? I've already been told that at least one member doesn't think I deserve to be captain.
Also, we are in despirate need of new flags. Do any of you know any good fundraising ideas or of a place that sells decent, but inexpensive flags?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

hey there! well here is alittle bit about me..i am from clinton township michigan. i have marched with the L'Anse Creuse High School colorguard for three years....and i did NorthCoast Academy this past winter season. i have marched with flag..which i specialize in...and i also have done rifle in a show. i have not done sabre in a show..but i have spun it in weapon blocks or what not. i just graduated this year..and i am hopeing to be doing interplay or reinssance winterguard this coming year. i also am hopeing to be teachign Waterford Motts high school colorguard for their band camp and fall season. umm waht else about me..hmm...i love guard..i live for it..i am like a guard junkie. i love to talk about guard and anything else. well i am outta here..just chat me up or what not if you like..my screen name is mandie7013 in aol. so i will talkt o u all later...have good luck this year with your seasons!

anyone ever have to do a turn-around in a show??? Our instructor just wrote a turn-around under a rifle toss, and it is sooo flippin hard. The work she just wrote is completely crazy, and there's only about 3 of us that get it. oh well, i was just wondering about the turn-around thing. Question: What crazy things have instuctors or staff asked you to do in a show, and you actually had to do them????? A turn - around is just one for me, my one instructor asked me to do an attitude jump underneath a five, and i thought I would never get it, but I finally did. Anyone else have any crazy stories to share???
