This community is dedicated to dwellings with a modern aesthetic. Emphasis placed on dwellings occupied or owned by members, but posting of houses and home accessories that inspire also encouraged.
The modern dwelling, in this community, does not mean a sterile, lifeless space, which is often seen in modernist magazines and books. Instead we emphasize warm, original, and personal modernity. We like the mid-century modern aesthetic but used in an unique way.
We appreciate a human presence in photos of your dwellings, but emphasis should placed solely on the space.
All of the sites we find, we find organically, and without the aid of other design blogs or lists.
If you wish to become a member of this community, send an email containing photos of your dwelling and its accessories as well as a short paragraph on who and what inspires you. You are encouraged to include photos of your inspirations. Send application photos as a message to moderndwelling.
If you apply for membership without sending us an application email you will be immediately rejected.
We are selective. We desire a high quality community that inspires, not discourages.
