Who's NEXT
Who do you think is going to be the NEXT top fashion model?

This year it was all about women are Eastern Europe. Models from Russia, Poland, Ukraine, etc. have all been extremely popular. And the year before that it was all about models from Brazil/Latin American countries....

So, what country/part of the world do you think will have the next big fashion model?

Daria Werbowy, Heather Marks, Jessica Stam, and Lisa Cant are all from Canada I believe.

i agree! and even new big omdels are coming out already julia dunstall, maria dvirnick, madeleine berrevoetes (or however you spell her last name lol), tasha tilberg theyre allc oming out now so im sure its canada (lets hope im canadian an aspiring model hahah)

yes she is but she hasn't reall ymade a big splash in the international modeling world. Lately she's been in more and more shows world wide though..maybe I'm mistaken though

yes, definitely asia.

just because the look of the girls in asia are so diverse. i mean, yeah we've got du juan from china and han lin and hye from korea and ai from japan, but there are so many nationalities untouched, like indians and malaysians and other chinese. you'd be surprised how girls of the same race can look so different.

and besides, asia has the biggest population. and bigger population = bigger talent pool (that's what happened with russia, imo.)

the only drawback i foresee is maybe the height disadvantage. asians are generally of a slighter build.

i dont like to sound rude, so i apologise if i affend ne one. But i think asians dont get the attention they deserve because to be honest they all often or not look very similar. And to be TOP youve got to stand out. i think heather marks is going to be the next top fashion model! but wait.. is she already one becos shes in so many magazines and shows! does ne one have foxtel? does fashion tv have many of the models on here in there shows. i am dying for foxtel and im saving my money lol.. in australia we dont get shows like tyra banks next top model, we use to get search for a supermodel but all those shows have moved to foxtel. which pisses me off!!! .. i have to go on the website for top model to find out who wins in US! neway.. i like Heather Marks and Cintia Dicker, she makes me want to be a red head.. lol.. ive never felt like that b4!

I don't think that's fair to say asians look similar. that was a sweeping statement.

maybe to you, they all look similar because asian models mean they have those typical chinese/japanese/korean asian features.
but do you realise that there are so many different races in Asia?
what about the Indians? What about the ones in the malay archipelago & islands and the other minor races/ethnicities?

and even among the chinese asian models, they have different features that you don't notice. an example is Ai who looks different from Hye who looks different from Devon and so forth...
nut I agree Asian's are probably not gonna be the next big thing... yet

that's your opinion, so that's all i can say about it.


however, when you look at all the fashion shows all the models (imo) look the same. skinny, blonde, and pale. so the same could be said for skinny blonde girls..


...anyway i think asian & african women are beautiful and i would love to see some more diversity on the runway.
