I mean, there's just things you don't tell a fansubber. Those are one of them. I mean, how can you come off and say a comment that basically says " You guys were slow so I downloaded it from here, thanks for nothing ". I mean, who cares? I don't care if you downloaded it from d-addicts, it's not like you're doing me a favor by telling me this. So you like speed over quality, fine, just don't come out your face like that.

Another thing that's pissing me off about fansubbing is this fucking stream site bullshit. I'm over at crunchyroll and I'm reading comments like " Why can't I watch it here now! " or " I wish someone would step up to the plate and release it here " or other dumbass comments like " It's up at mysoju! ". Dude, there's a fucking reason we don't want our shit on stream sites. It's like they are too dumb to realize why and yet we're the bastards of asking this one request from them. I mean, personally I want to take down the subs, lock everything down and make them jump through hoops to get it -- but my nice, PR, side is telling me no. It's just a select few, do not punish the rest.

I'm just getting fed up with it. Fansubbing is not my job, I am doing a favor to the non-Japanese speaking fandom; at least show me, no I mean, us some fucking respect.

I am sorry I don't feel like locking myself in my house for a week fansubbing your dramas so you can have them before the next ep is out. Anime fansubs and their 0 day releases have really spoiled the viewers and its polluting the drama fansubbing world. It's annoying.

I remember the days when in the jdrama fansubbing world it'd take weeks for an episode to get done -- and people were patient about it.

The fuck has happened now.

In other news Shinjuku Boy Detective. I found that in my Yuu Yokoyama Google Alerts. It's that shitty movie with Aiba, Jun, and Yoko and some other female actresses or whatever. I haven't seen it all but I may download it and watch it for the lulz.

So. I ended up picking mostly all the depressing death stuff.

Finally got around to listening to Younha's 2nd album.
Of course, I had to start with the song that Tablo was featured on. I think they mesh so well together, doing features on each other's stuff and having those weird live perfs together.
The original version of 기억 is damn pretty enough but the rap mix version so so absolutely fucking gorgeous. The transition from the soft soulful bit into the more passionate part works so well, the lyrics are so pretty, and Tablo's bit only reinforces my belief that hiphop should be paired with gorgeous female vocals more often.
Has incited me to go on a translating spree, japanese vocab quizzes be damned.


And...
While waiting for my iTunes to kick itself in the ass and start working again, I started the KCE: World Series movie- had been waiting for awhile for it to get subbed.
I didn't expect it to start out with a korean version of KCE with all the characters having accents from, it sounds like, Busan and being so terribly k-drama melodramatic. God I love it.

Now to go to bed and not stay up all night playing with it since I have to be up at 5:30am tomorrow. Ugh.

So after last night and the Northern Lights at 1AM, I got perhaps three and a half hours of sleep. WOO. XD;; Anita was off today, and so it was just Alicia, Artur and I. Woo.

Talked to my parents tonight. They're down in Montesano staying at Granny's house while she is in the hospital. They visited her today, and will do so again tomorrow before going back to Seattle and work. Mom said that Granny is grumpy and snarly and that she can clench the fist that she couldn't use very well yesterday today. ^___^ She can move her legs and arm while in bed, though she can't use her right side quite as well as usual, but she can speak perfectly fine. I'm so glad ;_;

OH. And the drama that is PRINCESS. It's not even Homestead drama, either! It's Property drama that they are flinging at us! Because George and Ray (the Head of Housekeeping and the Second) were stupid and did not think ahead to hire part-timers, they are short staffed out the ass these last few weeks. Their sollution? Bring the two Homestead Housekeepers down and put them to work cleaning Property rooms. .... I cannot explain to you how bad of an idea this is. (But I can try. XD)
Neither Alicia nor I have had training at Property for hotel rooms. Our training lies only in cleaning bathrooms and making employee beds when an employee moves out. We know nothing of where the laundry rooms are or the housekeeping closets are on Property, nor do we know where the certain buildings are.
They want to bring us down to Property for one day of training and then make us work the next day.... and not only that, but they want us to put in hours as long as it takes to clean our section of rooms. (I have no idea how long it takes them, but it must be about eight hours...) And then, when we're done with that, we are to hop on the shuttle bus and come back to Homestead and do all of our Homestead work. It takes me three hours to clean all of my bathrooms and my laundry room on second floor. That's eleven hours of work a day right there.... and I could do it, but it would kill me very fast. We don't mind overtime, but we don't want to do overtime for Property, who we know will shun us and yell at us for the remainder of the season because we are the new blood released in the cess-pool of housekeepers over there.

We do not want to go, and Anita does not want us to go. No one knows what's going to happen, though... "Guests are first priority" BAH. BAH. *throws hands in the air* How about you have some of your own Property housekeepers do a double shift instead of us? We'll be busy enough starting next week when everyone starts leaving in droves. How are we supposed to close down Homestead when it's just Anita here? Who will clean all of the bathrooms? HMM?

BAH.
So we will see what happens with that.

Alicia and I did get to go through bags of rummage sale goodies from Propety today. Found a few binoculars and three books and a million pairs of reading glasses and other odds and ends. Found three stuffed animals that had been left behind and took them home. Y_Y;
That was fun~

segun maria, esa casa era de un doctor que perdio su esposa debido al cancer y lo abandono todo. tremendo solar, con finca y todo. mansion de 4 pisos,banos en cada uno de ellos,consolas de aire, una fuente en la entrada, hermosa.

fuimos pa pizza hut y nos deboramos esa pizza como zombies, maria me llevo a casa, empaque pa la inter, acompane a anais a freiner, luego con mis room mates vimos semi-pro,y es una mierda, lo mejor fueron los impedidos :D

I was woken by the phone ringing 'round 12:50 and alerted that there were Northern Lights out this night. Throw on my coat and flip-flops and wander outside. I was directed to teh back lot where it is darker and pointed out something that looked like lights coming from over a hill.
Then everyone started showing up, and the lights started getting brighter and brighter, though they were still blurry-like. We had a bonding moment, all of us late-night Northern Lights people, oggling the stars and the magic of the 'Lights. And watching it ripple! It really is just like a ribbon, waving in the wind.

No chance of pictures. Too much light and not enough Northern Lights and so. =\

But I saw the Milky Way, and the Northern Lights, and .... well, now I can check that off my list of things to do in my life, though I hope to see more.

This is probably my last entry before my work experience starts tomorrow.
Well, there was a test for the company to see how well our Japanese is on Monday. I didn’t really study, because I figured what I can I can do, and what I can’t I can’t do. I’m sure if it really was the, but if it was, I technically passed level 3. Good thing these thing are multiple choice, because you can hazard a guess every once in a while *cough*.
Japanese companies, on the contrary to belief, do not run on the basis that you get told what to do and you must OBEY or else, but it’s more vague in the sense that the company has a goal and you, as a member of that ‘team’, must contribute yourself in a way to enable the company to achieve that goal. So my greatest fear is not somebody telling me to try something and not being able to do it, but more sitting there without anything to do and having no idea how to be useful.
There are factors that comfort me, however:
a) I’m not the first person to go through this, and I know Sophie & Miquel are just as clueless as I am
b) I won’t be the last person to just go ahead and try something like this, there’s a guy, also from NRW, who did his Abitur this year as well and is doing an internship in two months… and he has no clue where and doesn’t speak Japanese. At least he’s heard to Janne Da Arc
c) I have my certificate that says I took a course here for 2 months, so even if the work experience doesn’t have anything to say about me, I have a pretty certificate that says I was here
d) It’s only until the 20th. I can survive these days of my life, I got through the year book, NOTHING can possibly be worse (May this year will bring the entire rating of 2008 down. And I thought April was going to be hell because of the exams, I was very wrong).
e) I’m in Japan; my life can’t possibly be that bad. I should stop moaning about.

With those excuses in place, I think I’m ready to 働きます (I can feel ‘Freedom’ and ‘D drop’ becoming themes here…)

Anyway, I’ll finish this off with another piccie session.
