Money is the root of...
...much confusion, occasionally.

C = Customer / M = Me.

C: "Do you take US cash?"
M: *blink* "Yes. Of course."
C: "What exchange rate do you charge?"
M: "The Canadian dollar is worth about 72 cents."
C: "Seventy-- wait! The Canadian dollar is worth 72 cents?"
M: "Thereabout. It changes from day to day."
C: "But aren't we in Canada yet?"
M: "..."

Totally OT, but what is that green thing in your icon? I see people talking about them, but, I, in my utter stupidity have no clue!

That is Cthulhu... the most cuddly Elder God asleep in R'lyeh who, when he wakes up, will eat everyone's souls! BWAHAHAHAHAH!

Even elder gods need love ;)

Not just the souls. But I'm the personification of Nyarlathotep's home turf, so I'm not really worried.

Ahaha. My boyfriend calls me 'Cthulhu' as a term of endearment sometimes.

No, he doesn't know who Cthulhu is. He just heard me making reference once and thought that 'Cthulhu' sounded adorable. And so it stuck.

"No, we're only taking Rupees today."

*sighs*

Wondering if a course in mapreading would help any, or if the knuckleheads who make the annals of [info]customers_suck would just glaze over/blow it off as well....

I hadn't even thought of posting this to [info]customers_suck because they're usually nice enough... just suffering from gas-fume IQ loss.

Keeping a girlfriend requires time and money. (girl=time*money)

Time is money. (time=money)

Money is the root of all evil. (money=√evil)

Therefore...
girl=time*money
girl=(money)*money
girl=money²
money=√evil
money²=evil
girl=money²=evil
girl=evil

Grar. I've seen that before, and I absolutely hate it, because it's a misquote. I'm not even religious, and it pisses me off.

"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." - 1 Timothy 6:10 from a King James Bible, emphasis mine.

I adore that proof, but I always wondered why it's time*money if keeping a girlfriend requires time AND money. Shouldn't it then be time+money?

Wait. If you are in the US and she asked you if you take US cash, why did you quote her the Canadian exchange rate? 1USD = 1USD

Did I miss something?

Probably because that's what people are usually asking about when they say "the exchange rate" :P Vice versa over here.
