Welcome to Mmmmanips! Here you will find slash manips mainly from Stargate-SG1 and Stargate Atlantis.
We created this community so that we, dwellers of LJland, could have a place to post and share our slashy manips (and related icons and WP) without worrying about making innocent bystanders uncomfortable, or "spamming" mailboxes. It is mainly devoted to Stargate, but we’d be glad to accept other fandoms.
We are slashers and we make manips, but it doesn’t mean that you’ll see Jack and Daniel going at it like rabid bunnies in every manip (we wish…). It simply means that when we manip Daniel lying naked in bed, we like to think that he’s waiting for Jack (or Teal’c, or Paul… or us…).
We do all kinds of manips: sappy, funny, explicit, smoking-hot… But only the PG or PG-13 ones (where the boys still have their clothes on, or are nekkid but with no dangling bits showing) are accessible to all. If you want to see full frontal nudity or NC-17 “action”, you have to become a member!
You must be of legal age to join this community!! Therefore we’ve decided to moderate membership. It’s not because we’re Napoleonic power-mongers, it’s just that we don’t want any trouble! Basically, it means you’ll have to wait a teeny-weeny little while before your application can be approved. Thanks for understanding. ;o)
It goes without saying that any viewer (manipper or not) is more than welcome to stroll in and comment on the stuff posted here.
This community is the slash manipper’s safe haven: we’re all friends (more or less… ;op), and we intend to remain so. Therefore we have rules.
The Rules:
1. Any member can post any kind of manip, EXCEPT explicit het (sorry folks, but we're slashers... ;o)), underage or bestiality (well, because... EWWWW!).
2. NO FLAMES! We will collectively pee on you and your flames if you don’t respect this rule.
3. Constructive criticism is welcome and encouraged, especially if the manipper asks for it.
4. All manips must be made using DVD screen captures, or promotional pictures. No RL pictures or conventions photos, please.
5. When posting a manip, please state the pairing and the rating in the title of the post, and put it behind a LJ cut. A little warning wouldn’t go amiss either, if you’re going to post something that has BDSM for example.
6. Full frontal nudity and NC-17 manips must be friends-locked.
7. Whether you are a simple anonymous viewer or a "card-carrying" member, you must ASK PERMISSION if you want to use one of the manips in any way or form.
This is not an elitist kind of community: we'd love to have you join the fun and try your hand at manipping. We’re not judgemental in any way. If you want some advice or some tips, we’ll really be glad to share our little experience with you, but if you just want to post your stuff and run away for the hills, that’s all right with us too! :o)
