My husband is in Iraq and the symbol typically used while a military family has a member deployed to a hostile place is the Blue Star Flag:

So I used Citadel model paint and Royal Langnickel acrylics to create American Baby. Her name comes from the Dave Matthews band song of the same name:

She's my first custom in over a year so I am happy, and by far the fastest. She was re-rooted with a wig I also bought at Dollar Tree, and her hair is still wild, so I need to heatset it, but I was too pleased to wait to post. Her symbol could be straighter but I am rubbish at straight lines, and I am happy with the star. I painted it with a needle. :)

I LOVE the blue one, I already have a custom in mind for her. :)

They are slightly smaller than the regular ponies, which makes me think they are made from a mold they made from an actual pony and not a stolen mold. Their eyes actually are almost as well-painted as the G3's.

Best 5 bucks spent... ever. ;)

I also went to 3 Dollar Trees looking for them before I found them, so your milage may vary.

Custom baits?

I hate to use any pony as custom bait unless it is completely non-restorable, and while stumbling around on the internet, I came across these:

They look pretty much like a stolen mold... even the brush is the same... they are $18.00/dozen, so $1.50 each. If the plastic quality was decent (and it says they come in various colors) they might be good custom bait.

So, I've been in the custom MLP club on DeviantArt for a while, but somehow it never occurred to me to look for one here on LJ. XD Anyway, there are some beautiful ponies here! I love seeing the beautiful designs you all come up with. X3

I've only made a few so far myself, and they're all based on existing characters, but I hope you'll like them.

The first one is kind of crap. I made it totally on a whim for a friend, but after that I couldn't stop making the dumb things. XD

I've met Chris Barrie twice, this was the second time at Memorabilia in Birmingham in 2006, at the same time Chloe Annette (Kochanski (2nd)) was singing the My Little Pony theme. Meeting Danny John Jules a second time in Manchester I was remembered as 'the girl who had the pony signed!' The pony has just been sat on a shelf with others.

Hey guys, I've got a quick question about sculpy.

I've used it before and followed the cooking directions and glued the piece onto my pony, but I recently made a Harley Quinn pony and the ear-pieces came out funny since the ear was only glued on. (hope i'm not being to complicated)

Question is, (and it may sound stupid so I apologize) am I supposed to bake the sculpy all ready on the pony? Like put the pony in the oven with the sculpy on it?

Just letting people know that I'm open for commissions. My costuming and plush making business has been a little slow lately, so I'm looking to drum up extra business. Prices start at $20, and range up. Sculpting a specialty! Kirins a particular specialty. Most commissions tend to be around $50 for basic sculpting stuff.

Customized Pony figure!

This was a 'fakie' baby My Little Pony (cheap imitation, taken from a real MLP mold), customized by me. I repainted her entirely, black with a skull and crossbones symbol & with grey eyes and red eyeshadow. I then gave her an all new mane and tail, stripes of grey, red, and black doll hair.

I will sell (or trade) her if I get the right offer, but otherwise I'm perfectly content to keep her.

I am trying to make my first custom MLP. I bought Paradise Island, I figured white was easiest to start with. I am trying to use Dylon dye, it was the one I grabbed, I didn't know if the dye had to be Rit. Well, my pony is just not taking to the color. I'm not sure what to do. I plan to buy Rit dye while I'm out tomorrow. Does anyone know why the Dylon just isn't working for me? Or maybe it's the pony I'm using... :/

"Relay" is a custom repaint of an old and battered original Generation One My Little Pony. "Relay"s repaint is inspired by the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life. A grand total of 50% of what I make from selling this OOAK Custom will be donated to the ACS. "Relay" is dedicated to everyone who has been touched by cancer, in any form. She is especially dedicated to the memory of my cousin, who recently lost his battle with cancer.

Custom painted with purple, silver, white, and glow-in-the-dark paint, "Relay" sports a short mane (new growth, "Relay" is a survivor) and long tail re-haired from CustomPony.com's Eggplant Nylon Hair. "Relay's" symbol is that of a stylized moon with dotted stars. The moon is outlined with glow-in-the-dark paint, while some of the stars have glow-in-the-dark paint as well.

This is my first ever custom, made from a G3 Wysteria pony. Marmalade is a Calico cat custom that I made for my daughter, who loves cats. Marmalade is a OOAK, and will never be reattempted. I just love the little cat on her hip. :)

Her wings are likely to get slighly wrinkled during shipment, this happened when she was shipped to me originally. They can be ironed on a low heat setting, avoiding the hair, of course. One star has a slight flaw, it is pictured.

Hey, there all. I'm totally into MLP, but very, very new to collecting and customizing. I was just gifted with my very first pony today, a second edition Sunny Daze my friends found in a box while walking.

She's in pretty good condition, and, from what I've read, she isn't very uncommon, but I was a bit wary and decided to ask people who would probably know for sure.

So, is she safe custom bait? If not, she can very easily be restored.

Assay the Zonkey

This guy was made as part of a Valentine's Fandom "Card" Exchange. I say "card", because when I got my exchange partner, it turned out that I knew them, and I laughed hysterically as my idea snowballed and became much more than a Valentine's card. The backstory behind this custom is long as twisty, so lets just say that I knew that they would love to get a zonkey for Valentine's, and so steamrollered ahead and did it ^_^

Just in time for February! Mommy was done first, and then when a baity baby Blossom came my way, she begged me to be made up to look like Mommy. I love pearlies and always wondered why we never saw pearly adults, so I gave her a pearly coat after the gradient was done.

Her eye color was perfectly matched, and her hair came out nicely as well! Their symbols are made of vintage rhinestone buttons. They are very unique and date back to the '70s - its actually quite rare to fine vintage buttons with colored rhinestones. Both mommy and baby sport their symbols on both sides. For all the amythyst lovers out there, these two pay tribute! :)

COATL - The Albino Python Naga

This is my newest custom, his name is "Coatl" wich means "snake" on nahuatl, a local language ^^

He was a baity g1 bright bouquet daddy, and as it is the only one I could get my hands on in all my customizer years I wanted to make something really special. Therefore I'm probably going to keep him ^^
