full of hate? I believe people who wear fur can be full of hate towards animals.

The media knows how big MK&A are - the campaign may be extreme, but I don't believe they are criticizing MK&A for who they are - just what they support. Maybe if more people understood what actually goes into making a furcoat, innocent animals can be saved.

Please educate yourself about the fur farming industry before you say something like this.

I agree. Fur is cruel and unneccesery. I don't understand the Olsen's love for it. I think Peta are making themselves look ridiculous here though..there are better ways to get your point across.

Why would you act like an idiot to get your point across? I don't think anyone should force their opinions on another person with blood throwing and name calling. I'm a vegetarian but I respect my omnivorous friends the same way they respect me and if I were in the woods I would definitely kill a bear (or other animal) to survive and stay warm. I think fur is cruel but I'm not judging anyone, we don't know if those animals were killed humanely or not and PETA has proven they're liars before. I don't think an animal should be killed for anything but I can't make the world see it that way, especially not by being immature about it.
By acting like assholes/ignorant bias jerks PETA is giving itself a bad name. I've influenced people by caring, not bitch slapping and criticizing. PETA isn't any better than the asshole 'redneck' who tries to force feed you deer at the dinner table or pick on you for being a vegetarian, they give vegans/vegetarians a HORRIBLE name and I wish they would be shut down. Animal blood to throw on the Olsen's coats had to come from a dead animal, why would PETA have dead animal blood?

Stupid? How are they wasting their time? Because MK&A are in the media, they are susceptible to being easy targets. Peta is trying to make others realize what is actually going on in the fur industry? Extreme? Yes, but it works.

I don't support animal cruelty - and we as a society need to educate ourselves more and stop acting like barbarians for some fashion statement.

I agree Peta takes things to the extreme (like throwing red paint on people who are wearing fur), but i think it's important to know the facts about what's going on in the industry.

They're passionate about what they believe in and they're doing what they think is best - and because i believe in humane ways to treat animals, I can't hate on them.

I love MK&A, but personally I don't think Peta is being stupid. Do you know how many innocent animals have to die for one fur coat? These animals are dying for what? For celebrities and others to be "fashionable"? It's animal cruelty and I won't ever support it. What's wrong with faux fur?

yeah, Peta may not stop MK&A from wearing fur, but maybe more people will open their eyes and see how sick and cruel these methods of raising and killing animals for a fashionstatement is. We do not live in cave men days. We do not need these furcoats to make us warm - and even in the cave men days, they'd use all the animal parts. Now a days, it's just the fur while the remains gets tossed.

This is just a protest, hardly "stupid". People have the right to protest and them doing so at a press event featuring the Olsens who repeatedly wear fur makes perfect sense. They didnt as far as I can see pull any childish stunts so good for them doing something to get press on a serious issue.

Protest for what you believe in, thats fine with me.
But to single out two people and making up crude nicknames for them is hardly mature or moral...when there are truckloads of other Hollywood stars that are wearing just as much, if not more fur than the Olsens.

I don't feel that the way much of the fur industry is run is appropriate in any way, and should be stopped. I do not, however, attack people that get bombarded with cameras and lots of hating on a daily basis, and make them feel even lower because they choose to wear a coat that is made out of real fur.

I think what I am trying to say is that, pushing negative propaganda about the fur industry, and thinking up campaigns to attack specific celebrities is NOT the way to go about change. PETA has gone about things all wrong since day one, and are the biggest hypocrites I've ever known.

I'm anti-fur, I've actually got a fur is dead peta sticker on my makeup mirror. I'm also registered to PETA.com and animal obsessed. Having said that, I don't feel that there was anything about this protest that made PETA look like anything besides what the haters stereotype it as. I'm really not sure that this would influence anyone's decision on wearing fur, unfortionatly.

The insane PETA and anti-fur groups give themselves a bad name. I have to disagree with people who say that these types of protests will make people take notice of the fur industry and how terrible it is. That's not true at all. I am so turned off by their immature and childish actions that I would never, EVER want to be associated with groups like them (I am not saying I am pro animal cruelty, I am saying I am ANTI hateful groups like these). I know Vegans and they are generally very respectful but also informative in their beliefs. If PETA and other organizations would prove themselves to be mature, KIND groups then I would have much more interest in what they're saying. Attacks like they lavish on people who wear fur to get attention only gets them NEGATIVE attention.

There's criticism and then there's evil and hate. I think PETA has crossed the line many times, in a big huge idiotic way.

'Trollsens' is a bit harsh. They should take their gay little protest to the people that actually make the garments, imo. Not the people who wear them. But one is no worse than the other, I suppose. I do sort of lose a few respect points for them because they wear fur. I think it's pretty gross.
