Will there be any Reader's Choice award this year? If so, where can we vote?

I don't think so.

Is anything known yet as to when the results of the semi-finals can be expected, or a place where progress can be seen?

Thanks!

Hello there,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to do this, but I've sent several emails and haven't gotten a response...

The rating for my fic, The End of A Lonely Road, should be R, M, or NC17. (Under Romance/Erotica, I think.)

Thanks.

The Mithril Awards have turned into a joke. What is happening? Have they sunk without a trace? Has the scoring debacle landed the judges with more fiction to judge than they can cope with? Are the awards progressing slowly? Dead in the water?

Hello? Is there anyone there?

Wondering about status

While I don't think there is any need at all to present oneself so childishly as the author of the last post, I also am curious as to the status of the awards. Perhaps a post from the admins as to where we are in the judging process is in order? (It has been nine months since the awards begin this cycle, three months since the announcement that semifinals were complete and I heard that middle of April was when judges were supposed to complete their reading for the finals). I understand and sympathize that the Mithrils, like all fanfic awards, are run on the goodwill of volunteer staff with Real Life responsibilities, but some update would keep us all from wondering if indeed these awards have died this year.

I'm afraid they are moving along much more slowly than planned.

Many of our volunteers have been overwhelmed by real life issues.

Compounding this, I've been swamped with other tasks. I should probably
devise some sort of meter to show our progress.

Hopefully, for the 2006 round, we can recruit a couple more people to
work the administration aspect.
