Summary Adam and Jess play a game
Table/Prompt unthemed 4/trouble

“What are we doing?” Adam asked nervously, looking over his shoulder as Jess pulled him into the room and closed the door behind him.

“You really have to ask?” she asked with a grin, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him. “I’m enjoying my boyfriend.”

“We can’t do this here,” he said. “They’ll miss us.”

“Probably not for another five minutes,” she giggled. “And I plan on making the most of every last second.”

“I uh, I like the way that sounds.”

“I thought you would.”

He frowned. “Is that twister?”

“What?” she asked.

“Twister,” he repeated. He pointed behind her.

“Yeah. So?”

He shrugged. “I always wanted to play Twister with a pretty girl.”

“Great,” she said. “Now I know what to buy for your birthday.”

“Or we could just take advantage of it now.”

She smiled. “You really want to play, don’t you?”

“I do,” he grinned.

“We get five minutes in the middle of a birthday party, sneaking around like teenagers, and you want to play Twister.”

“Yep.”

Five minutes later, Mac and Flack found themselves staring at Adam and Jessica on the floor. The twister board lay forgotten beneath them as they kissed each other hungrily, completely oblivious to the rest of the world.

Mac cleared his throat while Flack knocked on the wall behind them.

Jess and Adam’s heads snapped up, eyes wide.

“Shit,” Jess muttered under her breath.

“Lindsay’s ready for the cake,” Mac explained. “She didn’t want to start without you.”

Jess closed her eyes. “Tell her we’ll be right there.”

“Sure,” Don said with a grin. “I won’t even tell Danny that the two of you are playing with his kids’ toys.”

Jess groaned softly when the two of them left, closing the door. “He’s never gonna let me hear the end of this.”

“Are you mad?” Adam asked nervously.

“No,” Jess sighed. “I’m the one that dragged you in here.”

He shrugged. “I know you didn’t want to tell anybody about us.”

Jess heard the uncertainly in his voice and reached up to cup his face with her hands. “I would shout it from the rooftops,” she said quietly, kissing him softly. “Just not in the middle of Lindsay’s birthday party.”

“I’m not in trouble?”

“Nobody’s in trouble, as long as we get out there and have some cake,” Jess said, standing up.

“Right,” Adam nodded. “I just need to uh, make a pit stop.”

Jess glanced down and nodded. “Right. I’ll go stall, or cover for you.” She raised her eyebrows. “Or I could always…help.”

He laughed uncomfortably. “I would love to have your help, but then we really would be in trouble.”

She winked at him on her way to the door. “I never said I didn’t like trouble Ross.”
