The Community

Welcome to mischa_lims, a Mischa Barton last icon maker standing challenge. Every fan of this lovely acress is welcome. The idea of a lims challenge is to participate regularly in several consecutive challenges. After each week, one or several participants will be eliminated until there is a last icon maker standing. Everyone can participate, you just need to be prepared to elimination and criticism. Of course, the criticism will always be constructive and respectful. The point here is to help people to improve, learn from one another and to have a fair competition. The goal is to have fun and devote our talent to the beautiful Mischa.

The Guidelines

[1.] Brushes, textures, text, etc. are all allowed and welcome, but animation is not.
[2.] Don’t post your icons anywhere else before the end of the challenge.
[3.] The submitted icons must fit the Livejournal standards (100x100px, or 40 kb and GIF, JPG, or PNG format).
[4.] Upload your icons on a hosting site like "photobucket.com" and post them in a comment to the challenge post with both the image and the URL. For example:

[5.] Don’t vote for yourself or ask someone else to vote for you. Let’s be fair.
[6.]Respect other people’s work and don’t use obscene language.
[7.] If you would like to use any of the icons, please ask the makers or comment to the related post.

LIMS rules

[1.] Please join the community and sign up before the beginning of each challenge. Comment with the username you will use to enter your icons.
[2.] At the end of each round, you will have to vote for the icons you think are of LESSER quality. Your votes musn't be based on your personal feelings or subjectivity, but on the formal quality of the icon. You will also vote for one favourite icon in each challenge.
[3.] The icon(s) with the most negative votes will be eliminated.
[4.] When you vote for an icon, you have to explain your reasons. You will give a short explanation why you think the icon is of a lesser quality or why it's the best.
[5.] The votes will be tallied and each participant can ask to receive their comments. Those will be sent anonymously and kept screened.
[6.]When you sign up for the challenge, you must be aware that you will have to participate in several consecutive rounds. If you miss a round, you will automatically be disqualified, unless you asked for a bye. Each participant receives one bye at the begining of the challenge, which allows to skip one round.
