| About: | Complaining on the internet about life and the awful things therein has become more than just a hobby for most people, it has become a way of life, an obsession, even a religion, if you will. With politics, lifestyles, religions, music, the age gap, the gender gap, and the existence of people who don't think that everything you say is right running rampant, and a gigantic internet to complain about them anonymously on, who can really blame the masses for using the internet as their Life Complaints Dept.? Certainly not me, and that's why I've created this little club. This club, however, has what we doctors call a "twist". This is a little corner of the internet specifically designed for complaints about very small and inconsequential details in life. See, we all want to complain about topics having to do with the big picture, that's why the picture is so damn big, but what about those little inconsequential things you complain about to break the ice at dinner? Even if you are a generally laid-back and happy person, you might be occasionally burned in the chin by hot cheese and toppings that came off of your pizza while you were trying to take that first careless bite. Up until today there hasn't been a place on the internet where you could go and talk about said pizza without someone speaking up and telling you your problem is irrelevant and stupid. TODAY IS YOUR DAY The premise is simple. Take anything you don't like, no matter how small, specific, or specialized, and complain as vehemently as you want about it in the club. Find other complaints, and discuss. DO NOT complain about something like religion, politics, important issues, blanket topics like "I hate children" or "I hate people" or "I hate cats", or anything big like that and clutter up everyone's good time. EXAMPLE: "GOERGE BUSH (THE W IS FOR DUMABSS) IS A LYING RETRAD WHO IS ONLY PREDISANT BECAUSE OF HEIS DADDY HITLER AND OH GOD OUR COUNTRY IS HEADED STREIGHT TO HELL BECAUSE WE'RE IN A WAR!" This is a BAD example. George Bush's relative intelligence and legitimacy as President of the U.S. has been in question for a very long time, and the internet has merely exacerbated this to the point of exhaustion. Also in posting something like this one opens up an entire world of Bush supporters who will post a reply that will invariably be twice as obnoxious and erroneous, and then another anti-Bush e-activist will post something twice as obnoxious and erroneous as THAT and the internet will be sad again. Subsequently, a post like this would not make it past moderation, and will probably be openly mocked on another upcoming community. "Am I not the only one who is completely put off by our president's unibrow? I mean, he's the leader of the free world, surely he'd think to do something about that!" This is a GOOD example. Though it is still about the president and is VERY susceptible to the same arguments as cited in the BAD example, it's still completely worthless and leaves room open for discussion, possibly of other political or celebrated figures who could use a bit of personal grooming. The best part? It is not an attack on Bush, his politics, or his legitimacy as president. It's an attack on his eyebrow. Seriously, it's kinda scary. Do you see where I'm going with this? Do not be afraid if your complaint seems very specialized and unique, because trust me, it isn't. There are a million people on the internet who are annoyed by the same little tiny things as you, and that's what this club is all about! So relax, have fun, and get your tiny, tiny frustrations out! | ||
