Poopin' peeds
So... Who else gets the 'lovely' wet sound and the bomb bay doors opening whenever they pick up their 'peeds? No matter what, wether it's picking them up or just bumping the tank they making a wet spittle sound and poop quite a bit. makes it not so much fun to hold them. It's only the african giants that do this to us. Any tips aside from a millipede diaper? ;p

Wow, mine has only really pooped on me once (second time handling him and I had him out for quite a while) so I'm not sure how to help! Could it be what you're feeding them? Does it look runny? Mr. Nibbly's poo looks fairly solid. :B

They eat CONSTANTLY. Sometimes needing refills during the day. Apples, romaine, iguana pellets, algae tabs, and reptical. They ignore the cat food the roaches eat and ignore cucumbers. It's pretty wet and gross. the roaches poops are normal. The chocolates only pooped on my mate once. It's just ongoing with the giants.

My African Giants poop comes out like little pellets, it isn't runny at all really. So maybe it has something to do with the iguana pellets or algae tabs? Mine eat a steady diet of romaine lettuce, cantaloupe, apples, and cucumber when I have some around. I also have some dried out oak leaves spread around on top of their substrate that they occasionally nibble on.

O_o I've never had that problem with mine. I don't think mine have ever pooped on me, actually. What do you feed them?

Like I said above, Apples, romaine, iguana pellets, algae tabs (like for fish tanks), and reptical. They eat without stopping a lot. At first we thought they just didn't have enough while transporting to the reptile show, but it's been a few weeks. We figure it's a defense maybe. Just gross.

I bet it's gross, LOL. I don't know if it would have any sort of effect on millipedes, but maybe try giving them some banana and see if it clogged the pipes a bit?

Depending on how bothered you are by it, you could try removing one thing from their diet for a week or so and seeing if it improved. If not, try removing something else. Mine have eaten apples and romaine with no problems, so maybe see if getting rid of the pellets or algae tabs helps any.

Mine only did that the first weekend that I had them. Since then, I can handle them and pretty much count on them not pooping on me. Though they do poop quite a bit in their terrarium. I can't really think of any advice to offer. Maybe they are just easily scared and their pooping is a result?
