Note that NEW COMIC BOOK DAY is THURSDAY this week, due to the holiday.
This means we'll be open on Wednesday at 10am, but not until 11am on Thursday (closing at 10pm both days, as usual).
Also, would the person who left us a May 2009 PREVIEWS Customer Order Form with ORANGE highlights on the items that you want please identify yourself? You didn't put your name anywhere on the form, so I have no idea who you are.
Which leads me to say: ALWAYS PUT YOUR FULL NAME on anything you turn in for sub changes, special orders, or Previews orders. We have plenty of duplicate last names, so just your last name or last name+first initial won't help me figure out who you are...

We are selling tickets for the second annual Julius Schwartz Lecture, which brings J. Michael Straczynski, the creator of the cult science fiction hit BABYLON 5, to Cambridge, MA.
Cost: $10 each, CASH ONLY, at the Million Year Picnic comic shop
Lecture Date: May 22nd, 7pm
Lecture Location: Building 10, Room 250, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Hey, Chris Claremont dropped by the Million Year Picnic to sign some stock (YES! We now have signed Claremont trades and issues!) but on his way out he mentioned that if people want to come to his talk tonight, it's FREE and available to ANYONE, not just MIT students.

His new book X-MEN FOREVER will begin publication in May with the reissue of the first 3 issues written long, long ago, in another era.

Hey kids, BOOM! Studios is adapting Philip K. Dick's novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep (the book upon which the film Blade Runner is based) into a 24 issue comic series.
They're saying that they will include the entire text of the book plus illustrations. I'm looking forward to it.
