Secret Santa Icon Exchange – Year Four! [08 Dec 2009|10:01pm] watching_you It is once again that magical time of year, so it’s time for yet another Secret Santa Icon Exchange! It works like this: You sign up anytime between Tuesday, December 8 and roughly 11:59pm EST on Sunday, December 13. Sometime on Monday or Tuesday (14th or 15th), you will receive an email informing you for which other mun you will be creating icons. Sometime between that date and January 10, 2010 wow, that looks scary you will create a minimum of three icons for that other mun. This can be three for one character, one each for three characters, or any variation on that theme. (You can also, of course, make more than three – but three is the minimum.) Once your icons are complete, come back to milli_icons and post your gifts to the reveals post before the due date. ??? PROFIT!! Want to take part? Of course you do, it’s awesome. [25 Mar 2009|06:55pm] venusadept_2 It's possible some of you may remember me from about three years ago. I am returning to Milliways, and would like some new icons. There is, however, a wrinkle. I want to bring Felix in from three different points in his life - the very beginning of the first game, the beginning of the quest, and a few years after the second game. It will be easier to tell them apart if I have three sets of icons. For the middle one, I can use official Nintendo stuff, but the others are more problematic. There is, to my knowledge, only one official image of Younger!Felix - the in-game scene in which he is clinging to a spar, desparately trying to avoid being swept down the river. This does not have enough versatility or image resolution to be used as an icon. Older!Felix is even harder - there are no official images of any character after the end. Your challenge, therefore: to find fanart and/or PBs that resemble Felix, and that look about 15, about 25, and optionally about 18. I would do fanart myself, but as I can only really do one style (), and it's hard to distinguish such things as age... post comment

Secret Santa Icon Exchange, Year 3 - SIGNUP [24 Nov 2008|11:50am] mend_and_defend ETA: Signups are now CLOSED. You will receive a private message with your assignment within the next 24 hours. See, I didn't forget about it after all! I just... kinda didn't remember until just now. ^^; Here's how it works. You post below with your mun journal, listing the names and journals of the pups for whom you would like icons made (listing PBs where applicable). At the end of the signup period, I will run the list of names through a random number generator, and you will receive a PB indicating which mun you have been assigned to. Your mission is to create at least three (3) icons for that person's pup(s). They can be all for a single pup or spread around--that's up to you. Last year I organized a Secret Santa exchange in which various muns made icons for one another's pups. It was a huge success, so we're doing it again! Here's how it works: Reply to this post with your mun journal, listing your name and the LJ names of the pup(s) for whom you would like icons made, along with PBs where appropriate. When the signup period ends, I'll use a random-number generator to match people together, and send you a private message telling you who your giftee is. Your job is to make at least 3 (three) custom icons for that person's pup or pups. The icons may be all for one pup, or distributed among several--that's up to you. Signups will run from now through Friday, November 30; the icons themselves must be posted by Wednesday, January 1. Have fun!
