AboutThis is a book community for fans of dark fantasy/dark sci-fi/dark fiction. These are the books that come close to horror, and may even be considered horror, but entertain us more than they scare us.
This is a community where fans of certain authors/books/series can suggest the works they love to others who have similar tastes. It is also a community where fans can discuss these works with each other, as we often like to do.
A Few Rules:
*No posts that are not related to the community's main theme. No exceptions. No quizzes. You can advertise a community if it relates to the theme, but I don't want to see any rating communities or anything that is going to tick off community members or bog up their friends lists.
*Suggestion posts and discussion posts should be kept separate. We don't want to spoil someone who hasn't read a book by posting a spoiler in the comments of a suggestions post. If you would like to suggest a book/series and also discuss it, please do so in separate posts.
*Please place all discuss posts under a cut tag. If you don't know how to create a cut tag, read the FAQ and find out. Any and all posts that break this rule will be deleted. I have no tolerance for spoilers.
*Discussion posts should be somewhat intelligent. Please don't post something like this: "Like, OMG, I looooove Laurell K. Hamilton. She's mY FavE!!1 Wut do u all tHiNK!?" If you want to start a discussion, please have something relevant to say. Don't just start a discussion for the sole purpose of starting one.
Rules may change, but those are the rules for now. The most important rule is to have fun, and that's what these rules are here for. To keep everyone in the fun and to keep others from ruining that fun. I'm no hard ass, but I would like to keep this community from falling into a pit of spammy ruin. So have fun but be smart about it.
