| About: | This is a reading community for those wishing to learn to read Middle Egyptian hieroglyphs. We will be working from the lessons in the book Middle Egyptian: An Introduction to the Language and Culture of Hieroglyphs by James P. Allen. If you own this book, you are welcome to join us for discussion. We will not be reproducing those lessons here; they are in the book. What we will be doing is discussing it and assisting each other in its understanding. The aim is to progress one lesson a week through the book, starting in late April/early May.
