GL FOOD: Devilicious Recipes
Mmm, mmm, good! Halloween is just around the corner and what's spooky fun without sugary sweets to tempt the taste buds. Scope below to find sinful recipes to indulge your fancies. Make 'em for your fam, share them with friends or enjoy all by yourself.
Devilish Chocolate Cupcakes
• 1 cup flour
• 1/3 cup cocoa
• 1 cup sugar
• ½ tsp baking powder
• ¼ tsp baking soda
• ¼ salt
• 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
• ½ tsp vanilla
• ½ cup water
• 2 eggs plus 1 yolk
• Green sprinkles
• Orange food coloring
• Store bought vanilla frosting
You will need: 12 paper muffin cups • 1 muffin tray • electric mixer (a whisk or wooden spoon works just fine, too)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line the muffin pan with paper muffin cups. Set aside.
In a medium size bowl, mix together: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar and cocoa (dry ingredients). Set aside. In another bowl (if using a mixer, pick a size that fits the mixer) combine butter, vanilla, water and eggs (wet ingredients). Beat the wet ingredients until well incorporated. Once combined, gradually add the dry ingredients in small batches. Mix until batter is smooth (there may be small lumps--that is normal!).
Pour batter into each muffin cup. Bake for 15-18 minutes (depending on oven and altitude levels).
Let cool.
After the cupcakes have cooled, drop 3-5 drops of orange food coloring in the frosting. Frost all of the cupcakes and top with green sprinkles.

rushed I love how our adulthood bond is growing each day. I never knew it would be possible. Well, that is a lie. I knew it was possible. I just didn’t know; if it would be enriched so. Although, we still disagree on one thing. Not necessarily disagree, but I dread it about “five percent” of the time. When we drive together anywhere we go – you enjoy listening to talk radio. I, on the other hand love listening to music. Well, I don’t mind listening to talk radio, but sometimes its get old…real fast. It just depends who is doing the talking. On the other hand, I love NPR. It’s funny how we made our little pack. “When you’re driving – you can listen to whatever you want and when I am driving I get to listen to what I want!” Fair enough, fair enough – good deal! As well, the fact your hearing is going is pretty amusing, as well. Good thing, there’s a volume dial on the steering wheel during commercials. It’s so loud, my ears are uber sensitive and I don’t know why. I guess I shouldn’t saying anything, because I feel my hearing is going a bit, as well, but not as bad as yours. Here’s to hoping I receive the W gene and not the F gene – no pun attended! <3 :)
Well, back to studying I go!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
happy

That’s right, as of today, I am 36 weeks pregnant. And boy do I feel it.
Getting to sleep and staying asleep is an adventure. Solid eight hour nights are going to be a thing of the past until Sarah is sleeping through the night. When I stand up, I can’t see my feet, that’s how big I’m getting. I’m not sure how I feel about that. My bellybutton is threatening to become an outie. That never happened with Liam. And best of all (sarcasm), the nausea has returned. Depending on what I eat, when I eat or how much I eat, my stomach protests. All perfectly normal the midwives assure me.
Next week is the bigger milestone. 37 weeks is typically considered “full term”. That means Sarah has pretty much done all her important growing and can survive outside the womb should I go into labor. So, yeah, after next week, all bets are off as to when she’ll arrive. Then Brad goes and tells me stories of one of his online friends who, despite all the ultrasounds saying there was only one baby, had twins. Good God, if that happens…… Now there have been twins, on my mother’s side of the family, but none in two generations. I prefer to think the two ultrasounds I had were correct and that Sarah’s the only one in there.
So basically at this point, it’s all sit and wait. The office/nursery is almost clean so we’ll be moving the crib in there soon. We have everything else we need; stroller, car seat, playpen. Clothes are coming from my family. Here’s to waiting.
nauseatedI don't know why, I just am. I think school finally broke my brain.
Seriously how can you not resist him? Well, unless you have good taste.
