I was kinda hoping for some more entries, so I'm gonna extend the challenge for one more week so that the closing date is now July 27th.

Hey everybody, it's your new mod here! Apologies for the lateness of this post. Anyway I'm really excited about taking over from doctorfumbles and thiscanbegin, I'm sure you'll all agree they've done an awesome job thus far, something I hope I can keep up. So with September a heck of a long way away, let's get straight to it shall we? The challenge deadline is quite far away because I'm afraid I'm off on holiday for two weeks on Sunday but when I get back I'll be choosing a co-mod from the applications from May. If anyone else wants to apply, they can do so on this post, just answer the following questions:

- The basic one: Why do you want to take over?
- Do you mod other comms? If you do, what are they?
- Is CSI: Miami one of your main fandoms?
- Do you honestly think you'd be consistent, responsible, and open-minded enough to handle modding a comm? (Honestly, be honest! ;))

CHALLENGE #29 - FREE CHALLENGE

Just like the title says, this is an anything goes challenge. You can use any caps from any season and even promo stills. The possibilities are pretty much endless with this challenge, but like any good challenge, there are a few limitations. All icons must be still only, no animations. Pairing icons are allowed, just as long as one or more of the guys is featured.

If you need help finding caps, try miami style

Rules:
- Six icons only.
- Icons must be standard lj size (100x100/40kb).
- Do not show your icons to anyone until after voting.
- You are allowed to use any picture you want.
- Challenge ends June 13th, 2008

Sorry for the absence of reminders this past week! I was moving out of my dorm and back home :) Yay for summer! (For me, anyway, sorry if yours hasn't started yet, DX)

Anyway, since I suck, I'm giving you one more day to turn in submissions! Challenge 28 is this way! They're due tomorrow, and I'll check sometime around midnight (PST).

As for Challenge 29, that should be up sometime today.

As mentioned in the previous post, my evil partner and I are giving this comm up. The boys are still awesome, but our hearts just aren't in it anymore.

So we're offering the comm up to anyone willing to take over. Your qualifications:
- You need to be a member not just watching.
- You need to have participated in at least one of the previous five challenges, or the current challenge (23-28)

And we'd like to ask some questions of you if you want to apply:
- The basic one: Why do you want to take over?
- Do you mod other comms? If you do, what are they?
- Is CSI: Miami one of your main fandoms?
- Do you honestly think you'd be consistent, responsible, and open-minded enough to handle modding a comm? (Honestly, be honest! ;))

As mod you are totally welcome to change the schedule (bi-weekly to weekly) and the voting system (polls to comments). I also strongly suggest changing the layout and the community icon, since it should be your comm now! Any questions you have? You can comment and we'll answer them to the best of our knowledge.

And hey, stop looking at us like that; don't take this so seriously! It seems scary at first, but trust me, once you get in the groove, it's pretty awesome :)

So copy and paste the answers, and we'll comment back before Challenge 30 to tell you if you've got it! You're also welcome to rope someone in to be a co-mod too, of course!

Now, the bad news. Your friendly neighborhood mods (doctorfumbles and thiscanbegin) have sort of given up on CSI: Miami. We still love (most of) the boys and we won't impose our opinion (too much) on you guys, but in a second, I'm going to put up a mod application post, and you guys can fill out the form and we'll decide who is best for the job.

Challenge 30 will be our last challenge, and if a new mod has applied by then, they will do challenge 31. And if no one has applied by then? Well, the community will still be here, and we'll still be mods, but there won't be any new challenges, sorry.

So please! For the love of CSI: Miami! Apply to the application post when it's posted and save the comm! (If not, no offense will be taken, XD Modding a comm is pretty hard.)
