GAY MEN ARE MORE LIKELY TO BE SHORT AND UGLY, AND LESBIANS ARE MORE LIKELY TO BE TALL: This article is such bullshit, and I'm glad the comments reflect that. It's pretty incongruous with actual observation...
BEAUTY IS NOT SKIN DEEP, AND PRETTY PEOPLE HAVE PRETTY GENES: I think it's pretty true with the physical evidence, but below the skin, it seems pretty off. What about confidence? That boosts the immune system and makes people healthier and happier. Was that measured as well?
100% TRUFAX: this article
IMAGINARY FRIENDS: I tried to have an imaginary friend one day, thinking as an only child (at the time) that it was something I was supposed to have. But I forgot about her after about an hour.
Children with make-believe friends tend to be more imaginative, have richer vocabularies, and are better able to entertain themselves. Singer also discovered that children with imaginary friends get along better with classmates. I wasn't a very imaginative child despite always writing stories about animals, drawing pictures, playing video games, pretending I was a fish or Pembroke Welsh Corgi (no seriously), and going to the moon with my grandmother. But I never really got along with classmates all that well growing up - too arrogant and standoffish.
BOUNDARIES: This article is kind of interesting but difficult to apply. I consider myself to have relatively thick boundaries, and I prefer things to have specific functions, but I dislike Neoclassicism in favor of Abstract Expressionism. And the dream thing and whatnot. Anyway, I like how the grand total of two comments on the article reflect that thick AND thin combination as well. I don't know, it seems strange and unnatural if someone is either one or the other in anything.
THE ARTICLE ITSELF IS NOT THE SUBJECT OF MY INTEREST: But why
how much does your girlfriend weigh? Is that a toupeé? Why did your mom get a divorce? Are those real? How much money do you make? are rude questions is. I...I'd ask them at least.
