Hello,my name is Chris Gentry and i use to be in the band known as Menswear. I found this site the other day, which i find interesting and factual. I've been trying to work out how to post a message for the last couple of days, and i think i've cracked it(hopefully this will end up on the main page). I'll send a longer message next time, with stuff about what the rest of the guys are doing now,i just want to see if this message goes where i want it to. Well, hello, goodbye
Chris

yay! I never 'got over' menswear and I'm v glad to find out other people haven't either. I love them! What can I say. They were the first band I ever saw live, when I was 15 I had 106 pictures of them on my bedromm wall (well mainly of Johnny actually - and 60 of jarvis cocker. i was bored and counted one day!) I've only just found out that a second album exists so wimm be trying to get hold of it... Also I was well into the montrose avenue, i saw them 5 times or something!!!
Wee now I am 23, I live in paris and i'm a translator and I'm looking forward to a bit of sharp-suited menswear adoration... Hooray!

the melody line of Keane's Everybody's Changing brings me to the conclusion that they have listened to Hay Tiempo rather obsessively.

As its really difficult (at least in Europe) to find Menswe@r stuff besides Nuisance, here is the list of songs I was able to download. If you want any and have Soulseek just tell me :)
- Hay Tiempo! (the whole album - 10 songs)
Some Nuisance Bsides: - Public Image - This will be our year - Sunday Driver - Now is the hour - 26 years
