Leakage and removal help!

So, i've been using the Mooncup UK (B, as i'm 18 and no kids) for a few months now, and i've had no problems until now. (This is a great community btw, it helped answer many of the questions when I was first starting out!)

leaking problem )removal and leaking )

Sorry for the long post, and I know, TMI! So I guess my main problem is removal, as I can't seem to remove the cup with all the contents in the cup, and not all over my hand! I have heavy periods btw, and before using the mooncup, I used to have to change my pad every 2 hours. Also, I wear my mooncup high up, as everytime I try to keep it low, it always migrates up.

I hope I explained it well and it's not too confusing

Mooncup UK for sale

Hi all!
I recently bought a small (Size B) Mooncup UK (I'm in Europe), and I already have a Divacup, which I discovered works just fine. My sister had mentioned that she wanted to try a menstrual cup, but when I offered her the Mooncup, she declined. So, out of curiousity, I did a "dry run" for maybe 5 minutes in the shower, and then I took it out and cleaned it very well, and soaked it in peroxide. The price on the Mooncup site is 20 GBP, which is about $32. I'm willing to sell it for $28 including shipping. I am also willing to haggle or trade! The Mooncup came with the yellowish color, which I've heard they do, so I had nothing to do with that, haha. Oh, I also trimmed the stem a little bit because I got ahead of myself, but it's not much at all.

Mooncup UK to Lunette Switch
I know people often ask, "Did anybody switch from cup X to cup Y?" so here's my switch if anyone wants this particular story.

When I first got a cup, it was either Diva or Mooncup UK - those were the only ones. I went with the Mooncup (small) because it was supposed to be softer and shorter.

It took me about 3 months to get comfortable using it.

Then, a while ago, I LOST it. Fell out of my bag. I felt so stupid, before leaving the house, I saw it in there and thought, "I should put that away." Of course, I lost it somewhere that day. I took lots of papers in and out of the bag. It must have fallen out sometime. I guess someone at work will find an interesting item on the floor.

So - I would have replaced it, but Mooncup UK stopped shipping here and wanted me to buy from the local dealer which was super expensive. So I branched out. Considered a color cup but never quite won on ebay, and it was just before all those other companies started coming out with them.

Finally I got a Lunette from Sarah-May on ebay.co.uk. I wanted a Selene but they didn't have them in small in stock and I was desperate. Customer service was excellent.

The difference is that the Lunette is much, much more flexible than the Mooncup - the Mooncup's big rim gives it a lot more shape. I tried it, and for me, it was really hard to get it to pop open. I had this even a little with the Mooncup with the stiff rim. It was hard for me to get it in and mess with it - I tend to tense up when I'm messing with a cup.

But it did open and all. I am sure I'll like it, but I'm afraid I'll have to go through the learning curve all over again (hopefully faster since I've done it before). Anyone switch cups and have the new one be very different?

I always thought I wanted the softest cup, easiest to insert...but didn't consider the popping open - so keep that in mind. I guess I'm glad I didn't go with a color cup, because they are supposed to be even softer. Lunette seems slightly smaller, and is easier to clean. I had cut the stem off the Mooncup totally, but the soft tab stem, I might be able to leave on, at least partially. It's a pretty cup. The Mooncup is much thicker and sturdier feeling, the Lunette is delicate. Hopefully I'll get used to the change.

So that's my input. Love to hear from others about switching cups. Wish Mooncup hadn't done the shipping thing or I probably would have gotten another. I'll update when I use it a few more times and tell how long it takes to get used to the Lunette.

EDIT UPDATE: I use the regular C fold on the Lunette, which never would have worked with the Mooncup, which I had to punch-down...but the Lunette won't open that way. It is softer so if I fold it that much, it doesn't open. It's also harder to break the seal for me, but it works just as well, and adjustment was a day or so, not like starting over.

Mooncup hates Ladycup
Just had my first period with my green ladycup, I have already been using a Mooncup (UK) for almost a year. I had a few dry runs with the ladycup before my period arrvied and didn't envisage any problems with it. To begin with it was fine but after using it overnight there seemed to be a lot of blood on the outside of the cup, it looked as if it had run out of the diagonal holes. Anyway, it hadn't leaked so I wasn't too worried. Throughout the following day I had a bit of leakage and although it wasn't much I would have been happier with a pantyliner if I'd been going out anywhere.

Because I had never had a single tiny bit of leakage with my mooncup I decided to swap back again next time I emptied out. After a couple of hours I went to the loo and I had massive leakage from the mooncup! I felt like it was getting revenge on me for using another cup. It was really strange because there was plenty of blood inside it and absolutely none on the outside when I removed it so I don't know how it could have leaked, there was just no evidence. My mooncup has also been much easier to insert, pop and remove since I used the ladycup. Its all a bit spooky, its like my mooncup was punishing me by leaking then miraculously rectifying every fault I had with it to stop me using ladycup again.

Anyway, what I'm really getting at here is does anyone find the direction of the ladycup holes to cause leaks? I know its only my first period with it but I didn't trust it enough to go to work with it in today, I went for my mooncup instead.

Also, does anyone else experience cup rivalry like this?

Insteads for small people
ok, I'm one of the smaller vagina people with low cervix, etc.... I haven't been able to get the ladycup or diva to work. I'm going to still try the lunette when I have time. I haven't given up yet but have trouble inserting. Was wondering if Insteads would work better as they go in slimmer? Although I know the insteads are really long. Have any of you smaller people had success with Insteads? Also, what is the slimmest fold for ladycup and lunnette. 7 fold, extreme 7, and C don't work for me. Thanks for any help.

Cup and meds?
I'm currently being treated vaginally with Lactobacillus after a pretty heavy YI. I got my period yesterday, quite unexpected (haven't had one in over two years because of pregnancy/breastfeeding), and was wondering if I can continue treatment while wearing the cup. I have a Mooncup UK. Could the meds somehow harm the cup? I don't think it's very likely, but ya know. Better safe... :)

Anyone seen this MoonCup Video??

This is a link to a YouTube video about (I think)  moonCup UK.    I respect people who bring the natural female function out of the shadows, and this video does just that...

WARNING:  The video does contain shots of actual menstrual fluid in a shower, so if you are queemish about other people's fluids, you may not want to watch:

Mooncup Vs.GreenCup
I just got my new GreenCup (small) through the post yesterday and I thought I'd just give a bit of info on how I've got on with it so far. I know there are lots of comparisons on here but I think it's good to have lots of peoples opinions to help others' decide because everyone is so different...anyway...

Size-wize it is smaller in rim width and length but the inside of the rim and the actual body of the cup look the same size as the small MCUK. It is simillar in firmness around the rim and area where the holes are but the body of the cup is softer and squishier. The holes are HUGE!! But I think this will be a good thing for me for both cleaning and suction.

On a dry run it has been really easy to insert and remove although, like some LadyCup users I have found it to be a bit tricky to get a good grip of to remove. I have cut most of the stem off after a couple of trials but may remove all of it in the future as I did with my MCUK. To insert I tried the punch-down fold to begin with as this is what I usually use with my MCUK and then the C-fold. both worked fine but I think C-fold is going to be my preferred fold for this cup as the punch-down was a bit hard to keep a good grip of with the cup being so slippery when wet (I can't do dry insertion).

I'll have to give an update in a couple of weeks when I've had my period but so far so good. I won't go overboard just yet incase I have an awful period with it but I think it's going to be my cup of choice really. My MCUK is comfy enough once placed correctly but I often have trouble getting it in and getting it to open. Lots of you have suggested firmer cups pop more easily but I find the opposite to be true for me, my MCUK would stay folded all day if I didn't let some air into it. With GreenCup I still had to let air in to get the cup to be rounded out but the rim seems to pop open straight away. Viscious circle with MCUK - C-fold won't go in but pops best, punch down goes in best but won't pop (sod's law)

Full cup
Hello =)

I have a question that might seem stupid.. But the thing is, my graduation and prom is coming up, and I probably will have my period both days. I'm kind of  new to cups (I've actually been using a cup for about six months, but recently got a new one, a Moon Cup UK), so the whole changing of cup is still a bit messy. For prom, my dress has a light yellow colour, and for graduation it's white. So I thought, since I don't really want to remove and reinsert the cup while wearing these dresses, and risking getting blood all over them, I would just leave the cup in and were pads and change them IF the cup becomes full.

Now, the question is; when the cup is full, what happens? Will the blood simply overflow so that I would be able to only change pads? I got a little scared when I once saw a post here, where the cup had "exploded" or something, which made all the blood in it just flood out :S

Any tips at all what a newbie like me, who isn't able to remove or reinsert without creating a mess, could to? I am not sure that I will need to empty the cup at all, but in case. I don't feel comfortable wearing just a pad anymore, so I really want to be able to use the cup..

I really want to be able to have a good time and not worry about having blood all over my clothes..
Is there a risk that my cup will "explode"?

I would be very thankful for any answers and tips, especially before Wednesday! (Prom night)

Revisiting the cup while healing vaginismus, and going to SE Asia
Hello again, everyone! I used to frequent this community a few years back when I first got a Diva Cup and then current my Mooncup (UK). I loved using the Mooncup for the year or so that I was able to, but I switched to cloth pads exclusively when I was diagnosed with vaginismus about three years ago. I had been too afraid that inflicting any pain down there might exasperate my symptoms. However, I will be travelling to SE Asia this summer for nearly two months and I can't see cloth pads working out so well on the trip. I want to be able to use the cup on the trip successfully. I leave in late June/early July so I want to get this down before I go.

So far, insertion has gone surprisingly well. I use the the punch down method and ease it in and it works. Everything in that way is ok, except for a few issues I'm having that I hope some or one of you may be able to offer some advice about:

- removal. Whoa. I was in cold sweats squatting in my bathtub for twenty minutes last night trying to get the sucker out. That, er, 'sucked'. I get a lot of suction, and either it sits really high or my fingers are too short but I have a lot of difficulty contorting myself to grip with my thumb and break the seal with my forefinger at the same time without causing my vagina and urethra a bunch of pain. Any tips on removal that doesn't involve shoving almost my entire arm up in me? Something vagina and vaginismus friendly?

- heavy flow. I've got one. Like, really heavy. Today, just as a small example, I overflowed after only about 3 hours, which isn't much time. Should I consider going on the pill for the trip to regulate the flow?

Also, any other tips on using the cup while travelling, particularly in countries where I'll be facing not much more than a hole, a bucket of water, and a scoop, would be greatly appreciated!

follow-up from yesterday
I posted yesterday about how my Mooncup UK had started to crack after 10 months of use. I contacted the company last night before bed, and had a reply in my inbox when I got up this morning. I know they're 5-6 hours ahead but I was still pretty impressed!

Anyway, they offered to send out a replacement cup as soon as I gave them my full address, with the understanding I would also ship my damaged cup back to them.

I'm pretty embarrassed to say that after telling my story to my SO, the "crack" FELL OFF the cup!! It looks like it was some random dented silicone left over from the mold or *something*, but I have no idea how it lasted there for 10 months without me noticing it, even through my sporadic boilings and scrubbings every month. So I wrote back and let them know that, and they replied almost immediately and still want me to send it back for a replacement so they can inspect it.

Anyway, I'm super impressed with their customer service and what a difference from when I had a genuine crack in my Divacup! It took them *months* to get a replacement out to me. I'm so sorry MC UK can't ship to the United States anymore because I certainly recommend them.

do I just have bad luck with cups?
My first two cups have developed cracks, and they are not trial color cups.

1. I used a Diva for 6 months and boiled it 5 mins after each period. After that time it developed a vertical crack along one of the holes and the company ended up replacing it for me even though it took many months. In the meantime I bought a Mooncup UK from eBay, and sold the extra Diva since I liked the MC UK more.

2. Today I noticed my MC UK has developed a horizontal crack along the outer rim, that's not touching the holes on either side of it (yet). I have had this cup about 10 months and only boiled it twice in that time because I was trying to NOT get a crack like I did in my diva. I haven't even used soap on it really, just hot water until all blood is gone. But surely it can't be hot enough to degrade the cup since I can put my hands in it without getting scalded.

Am I doing something wrong or do I just have REALLY bad luck? At this point cups are not very economical for me since I have a pretty light flow and it takes me many months to use up a regular $6-$8 pack of pads. I do NOT want to go back to disposables but this is really frustrating!

Ladycup, MooncupUK and Diva cup available
I've cleared this with the mods, but apologies if anyone thinks this is weird.

I know cup sharing is generally frowned upon.

However, I have 3 cups, which I will never use again, which are just going to waste. They are all in really good condition, the large DivaCup and the small PinkCup (pink LadyCup) were only used for 2 cycles each, and the small Mooncup UK maybe 6. I really don't want to just throw them away, but am not sure how many people would be willing to buy a used cup.

I'd obviously cleanse it thoroughly and sterilise it about a million times before I send it off. Their bags have disappeared (I used to keep them in a special box) but I can always whip up some new bags if anyone is interested in buying them.

All cups have had their stems shortened to around 5mm.

Pictures of the cups under the cut... )

I'm not looking for a debate on whether it's safe to reuse cups (or at least I don't want to get any stick for it), I'd just rather not feel like I'm wasting them and I'd also like to help a woman who would like to use cups but needs a cheaper option.

I'm also not looking for a lot of money for them so people should just tell me what they want to pay (if anyone is interested at all :-S) and I'll see if it works out doable, considering condition, shipping and fees etc. I live in the U.K.

HBC and cervix position?
I just finished my first pack of HBC, and when I tried to put my cup in, it just wouldn't go. well, it went in, but it sat so low that i couldn't stand it. i tried it multiple times, and it would never sit correctly. even after wearing it for a while, it didn't move up to a good position like it normally does.
has taking BC affected anyone else like this? i'm thinking maybe my cervix was in a lower position than usual. I use a MCUK and it is usually amazing for me, but i had to stick with pads for most of this period. I really hope that  it was just something that happened just this once though, becuase i'm planning on sticking with my birth control for a while and i really don't want to buy a smaller cup because of it.

i realize this may be a question better suited for a different community, and thus it is cross-posted to vaginapagina.

new user needs help!
okay, I've been using the Diva Cup for the past few days, and it took quite a bit of practice and fiddling around to get it positioned right.  Thanks to other posts on this community, I was able to figure out that I have a VERY low cervix and part of the problem was that the Diva cup is just much too long.  By cutting off the stem entirely and turning it inside out (as some other users suggested) I was able to get it situated much better. No leaks, cervix sits right inside it.  Pretty comfortable.
But it still rides a little low at the times of day when my cervix is at its lowest and it protrudes when I sit on the toilet or cough or pick up my kids (I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old, so that is many, many times a day!)

So I think that the best solution to my problem is to get a Mooncup UK.  Unfortunately I am in the US so I can't order one.  Grrrrr.

So here are my 2 questions:
1.  Is there ANY way for me to get my hands on a Mooncup UK?   I saw something about an "underground railroad" somewhere on the forum, but when I tried to find it again I couldn't.

2.  Is there ANYTHING available in the US that is as short as the MCUK?  Or almost as short?   Capacity is not a problem as I usually have light periods.

thanks so much for any help that anyone can offer here!   I LOVE the whole concept of using a cup...now if I can just get one that fits right, I'll be the happiest menstruater on earth!  :-)

Back up cup similar to MCUK
I'm looking to get another cup to use as well as having my mooncup UK. I want to be able to keep the other cup in my bag in case of emergency (I'm on a mini-pill and have irregular periods so I can't put my cup in when I think I'm due). I'm looking for something which is similar in size to the small MCUK but made out of something which doesn't pick up fluff and lint so easily.

Even when I keep my cup inside it's little bag inside the pocket of my bag it ends up covered in fluff! I doubt that my bag fluff is very harmful but I don't like the thought of it ending up inside my vagina really. And it's not always convenient to rinse the cup in public loos.

If anyone can recommend a less sticky cup then it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

LadyCup unfolding problem
Hello ladies..I really hope someone will be able to help me with this...
I've been using Mooncup UK for a few months now (never had any problems inserting/removing the cup). However, the cup always leaked during the first three nights of my period. Also, I found the stiff material a little bit uncomfortable while inside. So I decided to buy another cup with a bigger capacity for my heavier days. After reading lots of articles and blogs, I thought the large LadyCup would be the right choice for me (I am 24, sexually active with no children).

After the first period using the small Mooncup, I mastered the insertion/removal techniques and the whole process would not take me longer than a few seconds. Nobody would expect a different story with the LadyCup! I was really excited when my LadyCup arrived. I loved everything about it - the material, the size, smooth surface, etc. Unfortunately, it all changed the moment I tried to insert mine for the first time... Insertion alone was not a problem...I could easily fold the cup into any shape and insert it, but the unfolding was a completely different story. I know that this has already been mentioned in the blog before, but I really need help with this, especially from the ladies using the large LadyCup. The LadyCup is only 3mm wider in diameter than the small Mooncup! I have read many stories where even younger girls were happily using the larger LadyCup and there is no reason why I should be somehow "tighter" down there than any other average 24-year old. I do not exercise at all so my muscular tone should be average as well....

I tend to use my kegels to push down my Mooncup, but there was no way I could use the muscles to unfold the LadyCup (or maybe I just don't know how to use them properly, I don't know). I have to mention that I tried to insert the cup on many occasions, I tried to be relaxed every time, I used several folds, positions, even angles but nothing worked. The cup would just stay inside me as if I was still hoding it with my fingers! I am sure it's all because of the soft material (which would be far more comfortable for me).

I love the cup....it would be a shame to leave it in the cupboard somewhere....are there any tricks that need to be used with the large LadyCups? Please let me know what works for you because I don't know what else to try.....thanks very much for your help.

Whisk in the microwave
Hello everyone,

I have a question about my MCUK. To clean it, I normally soak it in a 50/50 water/peroxide solution or boil it on the stove. To prevent it melting on the stove, I stuff it inside a metal whisk which I then place in the water. This works wonderfully, I don't burn my fingers when taking it out.

However, I'd like to stick it in the microwave from time to time, as the stove is mostly occupied by other people. But I daren't put the whisk in the microwave along with the bowl of water because I've heard that this can set the microwave on fire and I don't want that. But, I also don't want my cup to stick to the bowl in case I forget to check on it in time and the water evaporates...
Does somebody have an idea as how to solve this problem?
Thanks!

I Got My MoonCup UK!
I got my MoonCup UK in the mail today, and I'm pretty happy!  As a U.S. citizen/resident, I couldn't be more proud to purchase, own and support the original cup with this name.  However, I will say (for any officials who might stop by this site) that the mooncup company itself is not resposnible for me getting this cup.  I bought it through other means, which I will not list out in public (please send me a private message for that).

The box is cute and small (about the same as the Lunette size 2 box), and the bag is unbleached cotton, very durable.  The instruction book it comes with is pretty cool, its in several lanuages, with picture diagrams.  I'm loving the material of the cup-- somewhere between Diva and Lunnette size 2, I would have to say.  And I know some of the people aren't crazy about the material's color, but I kind of think its rather unique.  My period started yesterday (finally), so I'll give it a try.  Here are some pictures:

Leakage and removal
Firstly, f*ck me, Livejournal is confusing.

Secondly, so are menstrual cups.
I've read and read pages on here about how you guys love your cups so it's really kinda distressing me that I hate mine.
I want to use it because I spent bloody £22 on it and according to my maths it'll take almost 3 years of using it and nothing else before that equals the cost of tampons.
But I bloody hate the thing. Mine is a UK Mooncup. My problems are mostly about removal, which I dread. But also it leaks. Currently there's no real point to my using it at all, except for practice, because it leaks and leaks and leaks. I've read some stuff about my cervix being in the wrong place if this happens, but what can I do about it?

So yeah, removal, a bastard. Right now I still have to get into the bath tub to remove my cup, I'm just lucky that I don't have a job or any other reason to go out during the day, so I can do this and take all the time I want. I would say I am improving at it, yesterday it only took me a couple of minutes, compared to 30mins+ before. But I still don't like it. I'm probably less squeamish than the average female but I can't say I enjoy rooting around in my vagina while getting my hands covered in blood. It hurts and my vagina always feels like it needs a rest afterwards so I've never put my cup straight back in. (What would be the point anyway, it's going to leak.)

I just can't believe people are saying it's easier than tampons! Tampons I could do in my sleep! But obviously the waste aspect of tampons concerns me, as well as the whole money I already spent on the Mooncup issue. So I'd like to get it right. I'm just scared of the damn thing now. It's sitting there on the edge of my bathtub, looking all big and painful and taunting me.

I've read various things that I find myself incapable of doing. I can shove it in okay using the normal fold. But it says you're supposed to turn it to ensure a seal forms - how? Once it's in I can't move it. I cut the stem off the first time I put it in because, well, it was sticking out. But I've since found it moves up inside me over time so I have to do squeezy squeezy to get it within reach to pull out. Break the seal at the rim? I can barely, *just about* reach the rim, but in that position it's then almost impossible to *do* anything. It has to be in such a low position for it to *hurt* before I can reach the rim and pull it down. I can kinda reach high enough to squeeze the sides, but it's much easier to squeeze the wrong sides - ie. front and back, instead of right and left, I have to squeeze and then like turn it round inside me so it's coming out forwards/backwards instead of side to side, and that is not easy.

Like I said, I just don't enjoy rooting around inside myself this much. I wouldn't like it if it was any of my other orifices, and now I'm starting to hate my vagina as well as my mooncup, and I'd really rather keep it a place of fun!

Lunette?!
I think its becoming increasingly obvious that the FDA is behind all these troubles with the Lunette and whatnot.

I ordered a Lunette from femininewear.co.uk earlier, only to have my order cancelled because I didn't read the fine print. This is what I received with the notice of cancellation:

Hello Kelly,

Feminine Wear has cancelled your order. Your credit card will be refunded in full.
Reason: Other (describe below)
Comments from Feminine Wear:"We are unable to ship the Lunette Menstrual Cup to the USA. This is due to licensing restrictons imposed by Lunette. Sorry for any inconvenience."

I AM FURIOUS. =[

Heres a good question: does anyone know if any of the cups that are allowed to be sold in the USA are advertised as able to be used with IUDs? I know the Lunette is, the Diva isn't, but thats it. I AM SO ANGRY RIGHT NOW I COULD JUST BURST! It seems as if the only cups that say they are OK to use with the IUD are Lunette and Mooncup UK, BOTH of which are seemingly banned. SO, where is the safety for those individuals who use IUDs and cups?! We can either risk pulling the IUD out, or continue to use disposable products and pads? I THINK NOT!

Also, I think we should start an underground cup-smuggling chain. As in, someone out of the US who is willing to buy cups and send them to those of us in need in the USA, in exchange for payment of the cup and the shipping charges. Any takers?

I'm going to write a letter to Lunette tomorrow and find out why they have changed their policies all of a sudden. In the mean time, if anyone knows of cups sold in the US that allow for IUD usage, or if anyone wants in on the cup-smuggling, let me know. =]

Please excuse the caps, I am angry and frustrated and I feel as if Lunette has betrayed me.

EDIT: I just e-mailed with a bunch of questions, and will post again once I get a response. Hopefully the answers I get will be able to shed a little light on the entire situation, since it seems that no one wants to talk about any of this.

Where can you buy overseas cups?
After reading a bit in another thread about inability to ship to the US for a lunette, is the Keeper/Mooncup dispute going to prevent ALL overseas cups from delivering to the US?  I did look on the website femininewear.co.uk and they did have a warning about inability to ship to the US.

In my opinion, this is getting out of hand.  I sorta...barely understand preventing Mooncup UK from being shipped to US but Lunette and all the others?  For a company dedicated to "freeing women from dependency," this seems like making the American consumers dependent on Keeper or Diva

If you have recently bought a lunette, where did you buy it? What are other options for Mooncup UK/overseas cup users when they need a new cup?  What can we do to prevent this from getting even more out of hand?

What are your thoughts?

And Keeper company is as old as me since I was born in '87. :p

Edit:  Or it is the FDA.  Either way, I want the FDA to stay out of my vagina.  Considering all the things the FDA had approved that wound up being dangerous(like the heart drug from a few years ago).

After reading about menstrual cups a few months ago, I'd been planning to buy a Mooncup for a while now. It's a lot of money for me, and they charge a lot more in Boots than on the website, but I can't order online so ho-hum. I finally saved up enough and plucked up the courage to buy one yesterday. However I have had a few problems, some of which have been easily solved, some of which I can't find the answer to.

I am wondering if these problems could be because I am 16 and a virgin. Though the website suggested it, I didn't buy any lube because I hate the idea of putting mass-produced slime around my private parts. *shudder* Since this has happened twice, is it likely that my hymen has broken? And if so, will that mean that it will be easier to use things like this in the future?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just happy to have found somewhere that allows me to ask them.

first cup: advice
Hey everyone! I have combed over the size chart and the posts and comments and am still nervous about ordering my first cup. Here's the stats: 26 years old, no kids, low cervix (around 5 cm?), heavy flow.

I am leaning towards a large Lunette...but I'm worried about it poking out. I'm also considering the small Lunette* or the UK Mooncup (I'm currently living in Europe so the Keeper lawsuit is not an issue). I like the idea of measuring lines, so that's why I don't have LadyCup on the list. I just don't want anything poking out!

So...what do y'all think? Would the large Lunette be ok? Or would I need to go with something even shorter to prevent poke-out?

*At "yearly exams" the doctor has often had to call in a smaller speculum, so I'm not too worried about the smaller diameter.

Cheating on the Diva with My Undercover Luvah, MCUK

So, I have a DivaCup and a MCUK. I tried the DivaCup, and fell in love with it right away. It was easy to use, and everything. Still, I decided to give my MCUK a go, and decided this was the period to do it (36 days since my last period, can  you believe that?).
