Lunette or Fleurcup??
I have a small Lady Cup and I like it really, but its just such a small capsity. Plus, I just need a new cup! I'm a cup addict! haha
So, I've narrowed it down to Lunette and Fleurcup!
I really like those two, but I'm not even sure why!

can you help me pick? which one do you like better, if you've used them? the differences between them? or even anything helpful!

LadyCup too small? What is Lunette and Fleurcup like?
*Update*
I bought the Lunette. It was what I was leaning towards, and with someone telling me its soft kind of like the ladycup, I'm sure I will have found the perfect cup for me, finally.

Okay, so I started out with a small divacup. It was uncomfortable, felt like I was constantly squeezing on my bladder because the rim just felt too big.

So I finally got a small green ladycup just to try out (also recently got the lotos) I loved it, until now. I literally have been emptying my cup every hour all night long, and throughout the day. Its also leaking hardcore (the cup is FULL when I take it out).

I tried the divacup again, knowing it was bigger, but it still hurts.

So I came on here to check out larger capacity cups and liked the looks of the lunette and fleurcups. They seem bigger, but the rim is still a bit smaller than the divacup.

What I want to know is what is the material like? I think I like my ladycups so much because they're so soft.

Or should I just stick with a ladycup and get the larger size?

Thank you!

Fleurcup hookup?
Hellooo, everyone!

I live in the US and have been seriously jonesin for a Fleurcup for a while now. If there's anyone living in the EU who can get one for me, that would be freakin awesome! Even better would be if 2 other people ordered so we can all get a slight discount. Thanks in advance!!

Diva vs. ...?
Hi ladies -

I'm a current Diva cup user and have been for about two years. Lately though, I've been having problems with my cup. I never noticed before, but the last 2 or 3 cycles I've had problems with insertion and discomfort while wearing my cup. I just can't seem to get the thing in. I've even woken up in the middle of the night from pain because the stem has worked its way to a sidewall of my vagina and is digging in! I don't know what's going on, so I've decided maybe I need to try a new cup.

I was thinking more of a Lady Cup (probably the lilac) or a Fleurcup. The only thing I'm concerned about with the Lady Cup is removal, as I use my fingernails to grab the stem of my Diva and since it has the ridges, I can pull it right out. I've never been able to get my fingers up to the rim to break the suction, so that wouldn't be an option for me.

Have any of you switched from the Diva to a LC or a Fleurcup? Just wondering about personal experiences so I can make a better opinon as to which cup would be better for me.

Thanks so much!

large meluna? also yuuki/fleurcup?
has anyone here used a large meluna? I'm trying to get a sense for capacity. I use a large ladycup and LOVE it, but it always starts to leak at about 2/3s of the way full or less because the damn holes are so low, so it's kind of difficult to judge by dimensions how much a meluna might hold in comparison. edit: I just checked and measured, and the ladycup only fills to 15-20 ml because of the holes. I love that thing, but still, what?

edit: I'd also love to hear from anyone who's used a large yuuki or fleurcup as these seem to be the highest capacity available. I have a ridiculously heavy flow and sometimes for a couple days I fill my ladycup in under an hour.

thanks in advance!

More questions
Hello ladies!
I'm european, so I went for a fleurcup and I really like it. I had to trim the stern and it still pokes me sometimes. I saw that Meluna had the ball and ring stern options and I was really interested. I have a few doubts, though:

1. I'm never sure about the correct placement, I usually place it past my pubic bone and keep going until I can no longer feel the stern. This cycle I tried inserting it lower because last time it started going up my vagina. It still poked me, but I did it because last time it took me a while to locate and grip the stern.

2. Before that, I had the lousy idea of turning it inside out, because I saw menstrualcupinfo channel on youtube and she took it out by inserting a finger alongside it to break the suction, and hers was sternless. I couldn't take it out and ended up going to the doctor to have it removed. I guess I have a long vagina because today I tried to locate my cervix and I had my middle finger all the way in and had to press on my belly to feel the tip of my cervix. Will I be able to find and remove the meluna?

3. I also found out I have a really light flow. I keep my cup in for 12 hours and it only fills up halfway on my heaviest day. I wanted a small meluna for the lighter days to give my girly parts a rest from the previous poking. Do you think it's worth buying it? Do you prefer the ball or ring stern?

TIA!

got my small fleurcup today!
many thanks for lounalune and judith for making it happen. here are some pictures and my thoughts so far.

fleurcup )

it's a lot smaller than the small diva cup (as shown in the comparison photo). the only thing that surprised me is that the end is real squishy. i thought i was going to break the suction inserting it. they say that the cups are "hoop skirts" but i'd say the fleurcup is more of a bell shaped cup. the fleurcup isn't as wide as the diva cup but i couldn't even get up to the rim when i checked. there wasn't any room in there for the cup and a finger. i think this is due to the shape and i'm just not very big down there. it's a lot more comfortable than the diva cup in that aspect. i haven't had to empty it yet (yay for getting my period a few days ago so i could try it out right away) but so far i'm very happy with it!

Small Pink Fleurcup for sale
I've only used this through one cycle, and I haven't cut the stem at all. It's just too firm for my tastes. I've gone back to using my divacup.

I will boil this and sterilize it before sending as well as include a milton sterilizing tablet with the cup so you can sterilize it again. Instructions are included also.

$26 shipping included. Paypal & US only thanks!

Difference between large Diva and Fleur Cups
I was just wondering if someone could help me (personally) compare the large Diva Cup with the Fleur Cup? Is there more than size to the fleur cup?
I have a large Diva Cup but after looking at the review that Melissa put up about the fleur cup, I'm really interested in getting one, I'm just a little concerned about capacity/comfort.
If you could help me out, I'd appreciate it, thanks!

Small Lunette or small Fleurcup?
I've started using the medium MeLuna (ball stem) a few days ago, and thanks to all the great advice I've found here (the instruction booklet was far from detailed), I've been quite successfull. I got the leaks troubleshot quite quickly, and have emptied it a few times in public toilets on my second day. I chose the MeLuna because it's local (to me), has fancy colours, and since all the rest of the info was just confusing me, I decided I might as well start with what seems to be the cheapest cup until I know what I like and don't like about it. And I'm already thinking about switching.

Things about myself:
- really low cervix (so I'm glad the M MeLuna is short)
- pretty heavy flow (I definitely need more capacity)
- 22 and no penis-in-vagina sex, so something a bit thinner would be nice.
Also, removing the MeLuna is painful, which I attribute to the thick, firm rim and to the lack of training.

Based on the size chart, I figured the small Lunette or the small Fleurcup would both be good alternatives, as they are a bit thinner, only two millimeters longer and have a greater capacity. As I'm in Europe, it won't be a problem getting either of them. I lean towards the Fleurcup because it's available in fancy colours, but that shouldn't be my main argument and, even browsing this community, I haven't found any other difference between them. I would especially like to know if one is softer than the other.

Fleurcup - Pictures, Review, Video

Got my Fleurcup today!  Sent private thank you's to all who helped :)  I'll try to get a few photos in one of the comments below, because the codes won't work...  At least not with a cut, and I didn't want to take up the LJ page by putting them uncut in the post.  Did a review and a video too, there are plenty of photos in the review:

size help?
I need some help making a buying decision.
I've been using a small BlueCup for 4 months now and am considering trying out a Fleurcup or a MeLuna with a loop (loop because my cervix sits high and I've had some trouble gripping the cup, and the stem proved to be slippery too). However, I'm unsure about the size. On the heavier days I have to empty the cup every few hours and I've experienced some leakage either through the holes when it's full or when squatting etc (maybe it's too squishy?), so I'd like a cup that's more convenient for these days. On the following days my period gets much lighter and the small Bluecup works fine. I'm 25, no children, thin figure and I would consider my vagina more narrow than wide, when I still used tampons I only used light or regular, that's why I chose the small BlueCup.
I've looked at the cup size chart and it seems like even the small Fleurcup can hold a lot more than the small Ladycup, and then the MeLuna even has 3 different sizes so I'm just.. indecisive. plus, I'm unsure about insertion and removal of a larger cup, I've had trouble with the small Bluecup, I couldn't insert it without lube the first time I used it (getting more comfortable with different folds makes it possible without by now though), and removing can be a bit uncomfortable when it gets towards the pelvic floor, I'm worried that a large cup might be even worse.
I can't afford buying cup after cup until I found the perfect fit (although that thought is very tempting! they're addicting, aren't they?), my budget isn't that big so any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Fleurcup VS MoonCup UK (and diva and ladycup)
I recently ordered a fleurcup. dont get me wrong, i LOVE my MCUK and would recommend it to anyone. However, recently i have been plagued with heavy periods and needed something that could keep up. I decided on the Fleurcup because of its stiffness (i tried the lady cup and HATED it), it's capacity (large fleurcup is among the biggest capacity-wise), and the fact it comes in black and won't look all stained (even though i do "whiten" my cups with hydrogen peroxide at the end of my period). ANYWHO... onto the comparisons!

WANTED: The Third Musketeer aka New Cup :-)))
Hi all,

I have been following the development in cup-news spreading round the world - I think it's brilliant. Especially all the new shapes/designs.

Now, I've been thinking of getting another cup for myself sometimes this fall. This is turning into an addiction :-)
I already have a Mooncup UK (Size B) as well as a small Lunette Selene. The new cup should either be a purple Fleurcup or an orange Meluna with a ring stem. I'm too impatient to wait for Lunette's new limited edition...

My ideas + preferences )

MeLuna answer about ring size + cleaning )

So, which cup should I get when I go for it?
Thanks for your input!

My Pink Fleurcup arrived today! & Divacup for sale
Thank you [info]thelittleredfox !

The color looks more "peach" than "pink."
I took some pictures, and made a short vid to compare the small Fleurcup to the small Diva.

The Fleurcup is definitely firmer...not nearly as flexible as the Divacup.
The Fleurcup's holes are larger and they're at an angle. There are 4 holes on the Fleurcup

I haven't been able to test it yet. I'm going to try to wait until my period starts (about a week).

The gothcups arived!
Thanks to www.femininewear.co.uk I have my new Fleurcup black arived today and I've cleaned it up and already done a dry run. I needed to trim the stem off as always but just because it pokes me it wont poke everybody to have a stem. The suction is far more than the mooncup and even supprised me a bit. It also looks much less like a sergical appliance and more like a lovely black squishy egg cup. No writeing on it ether so less chance of stains and more chance of not haveing an advert for a product stuck where a woman wants no adds. You'd think that would be the only place you can escape namebrands. The mooncup opens easely but it seems to be because it is tougher around the lip where as the fleurcup is quite touch around the hole thing well other than the stem.

The holes are a little bigger than on the mooncup and a little more prone to blocking.

Removal is a little harder because of the suction but when that things poped and positiond fine theres no moveing it without the normal prosedure for pulling it out.

The black color isnt strong black but it is a nice dark color and easely enough to make it look nothing like something you'd find in a plumbers kit. I actualy quite like the more subtle color It looks less likely to draw attention to itself if by some chance it escapes from its bag. Also reminds me of some lovely disheswe have kicking around the house with a grey tint that makes them easy to see yet is lovely and subtle. It also looks exactly like the cup on the LJ feminine wear ladies icon.

Theres pros and cons with every cup and got to say my little goth cup as I've nicknamed this perticuler one is lovely. The goth cup is my main cup and going into the purple bag where as the mooncup is going into the little black bag and going in my handbag as an emergancy one.

Oh and thanks for the sweeties and postit notes. Hopefuly we can get more people useing these things and helping the inviroment instead of slowoy destroying it.

Thankyou again for letting me get a cup that matches my clothes! *grins*

First timer here!!!
Hello ladies!
I just got my fleurcup (I'm european) and thought I'd share my experience. I've ordered the small size because I'm 25 and never had any kids. When I took it out of the package, it looked extremely small, but I quickly got over that and started practicing on the different types of folds. For me, the C and punch down folds were the best.

To give you some background info, I got my period at 13, started with pads, managed to use applicator tampons 3 years later and about an year ago I managed to use regular OB tampons. They always felt like they were ripping my insides so I had given up on trying to get used to them. When I knew about cups, I loved the idea, specially because I wouldn't be trowing away so much garbage every month!

I read the instructions manual and boiled it for 5 minutes, as it was advised. I put it upside down on a paper towel to dry and when it was fully dried I went to the bathroom for a dry-run. I sat on the toilet like I used to do to insert a tampon and folded the cup. It kept popping open before it was fully inside me. After the 4th or 5th try I managed to put it all the way in. It popped open on its own and the stern was inside me, but hanging low. I got up, walked around and sat down. I couldn't feel it at all. I was soooo pleased!

Removing it was a different story I couldn't break the seal and pinching was hard. I ended up pulling the stern like I would do with a tampon string and grabbing the base until the seal broke and it came out. Overall, I'm really excited about it and can't wait for my period to start!

I have a few questions, though:
1. When I boiled it, it "colored" the tissue, like some red clothes stain white ones pink. Is this normal? I got the black one.
2. is it ok to pull the stern to remove it? what can we do if we can't reach it?
3. Do I have to wash or sterelize it every time I touch it?
4. I used an antibacterial soap meant for intimate hygiene called cyteal. Is this ok?

ETA: Thank you all for your answers. I emailed the company and they told me that both the cup and the dye were safe, and siuggested that the colour might be from the water or the container I used for boiling it (an aluminium pot). Today I boiled it again and it disn't leak anymore, so I guess that happened because it was new.

Black cup
A while ago I saw a link to a site that sells black cups, they were also a slightly different shape than other cups and I remember thinking that I'd go for that if it wasn't for having my IUD and giving up my cup.

Now it turns out that I have PID so I am having my IUD removed. I got rid of my other cups when I thought I was going to use them any more and tbh, none of them were exactly right for me.

I'm optimistic about this new kind of cup, but I can't for the life of me find it. Can anyone enlighten me and link me to the site please!?

How long does it take for a cup to pay for itself in the UK?
I'm planning to move to the UK in a year or two, and I also want a Lunette or Fleurcup. Could any one of you tell me how long it would take to pay for itself - cost is 25 GBP, from what I've seen.
FWIW, I have a really light flow - I use about 5 XL ultra pads, and 5 liners per cycle.

Edit: Basically, my question comes down to - how much would 5 XL ultrathins and 5 liners cost in the UK?

(I love love love cups but it's really hard for me to justify buying another just 6 months after my first!)
