Hello Awesome Cuppers,
I'd welcome advice from Fleurcup user, and cup users with shorter vaginas... My novella here:

Thanks and a small comparison.
I was part of the group order that
fee_parisienne set up through Feminine Wear via
schmoomom. Schmoomom sent the cups out on the 6th, and I received my package on the 10th. From Ireland to Las Vegas, Nevada, FOUR DAYS! Amazing. The only reason I'm posting now on the 11th is that my dad ends up getting the mail when he gets home from work around 3:00a, so I had no idea until I woke up today and it was outside my door that it had arrived. :)
I love the softness of the small Lunette I ordered and absolutely can't wait to try to use it. I've been unsuccessful with cups for at least four years, and I'm hoping this will be the cup that enables me to finally convert from pads. I'm so excited to have already received it, well in advance of my next period.
The cup was packaged in a plastic sack with instructions and a storage pouch. Teresa from Feminine Wear included a little notepad (which is awesome because I always write to-do lists), and there are also two little packages of Love Hearts candy.
Thank you all SO much! I really appreciate you all for putting together this order and getting it out to us.
And for those of you who can order from Feminine Wear, it was a great experience even though I personally didn't submit the order.
( Now, a quick comparison! )

Well this isn't anything really to bother the community about but i am having serious trouble deciding what color ladycup I want. HAHA. I really like yellow, but i was wondering if it will be neon or look like the mooncup yellow, and is it just a hint? Because here-

the colors look like they are just a hint, BARELY and the orange looks like it has a lot of pink mixed with it. So I think im leaning more towards the orange also bc it doesn't look like just a hint. I was thinking about the pinkcup too bc it is....pink! But in that pic i can barely tell it has any pink in it. The lilaccup looks really pretty too, but honestly i never liked purple, so anyway to the people that have ladycups how much color is really in them? And in your opinion which color is prettiest?
And also the reason i am getting a ladycup is bc it is so soft and one of the smallest brands. But i am a virgin and I heard that a lot of people have trouble getting the ladycup out because no grippers and bc it is so squishy. And i heard virgins have even harder times getting it out. From your own experiences how was the first time you used your cup?
I was gonna make a poll but decided not to bc i wanna hear your own words.

EDIT**
well now i am thinking about getting a meluna, bc
1.)people say they are easier to get out
2.)they come in xsmall
3.)they have a really pretty green ^_^
but how much really, are they when it comes to shipping and stuff?
EDIT AGAIN**
well thanks everyone i ordered a meluna off of feminine wear about a week ago. i hope it arrives soon!

month 2
I now LOVE my LilacCup (small). Originally purchased for environmental reasons and some concerns about all the toxic chemicals for absorbancy. The first month I was indifferent. Now, I can't believe I lived without the cup for so long. I have a very light flow (5-6mL the entire cycle) so there's really no reason for me to empty the cup more than once a day. Very handy! It almost seems like I'm not on my period (which is wonderful). No worries of TSS, no worries of leaks, no worries of the dog going through the trash... Thanks for all the advice from this community. The size chart was particularily helpful as I decided which cup to purchase!

size help?
I need some help making a buying decision.
I've been using a small BlueCup for 4 months now and am considering trying out a Fleurcup or a MeLuna with a loop (loop because my cervix sits high and I've had some trouble gripping the cup, and the stem proved to be slippery too). However, I'm unsure about the size. On the heavier days I have to empty the cup every few hours and I've experienced some leakage either through the holes when it's full or when squatting etc (maybe it's too squishy?), so I'd like a cup that's more convenient for these days. On the following days my period gets much lighter and the small Bluecup works fine. I'm 25, no children, thin figure and I would consider my vagina more narrow than wide, when I still used tampons I only used light or regular, that's why I chose the small BlueCup.
I've looked at the cup size chart and it seems like even the small Fleurcup can hold a lot more than the small Ladycup, and then the MeLuna even has 3 different sizes so I'm just.. indecisive. plus, I'm unsure about insertion and removal of a larger cup, I've had trouble with the small Bluecup, I couldn't insert it without lube the first time I used it (getting more comfortable with different folds makes it possible without by now though), and removing can be a bit uncomfortable when it gets towards the pelvic floor, I'm worried that a large cup might be even worse.
I can't afford buying cup after cup until I found the perfect fit (although that thought is very tempting! they're addicting, aren't they?), my budget isn't that big so any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Lady Cup and Mooncup help?
I recently bought two pack of Lilaccups, one for my mom and one for me. But she ended up letting me keep both, and I ended up liking the Large Lilaccup way better! (Which is weird because I'm 16 and a virgin...) :P Anyways, next year, I will be going to London and Paris with school, and I was thinking it would be the perfect opportnity to get a cup without having to ship it. (Though my friends wil be there.... That would be a little awkward. I'm not embarrassed or anything, it's just I want to keep it a little private. I don't know if they would judge me or anything...)
But since I like the Large Lilaccup better, I don't know if I should get the small or large mooncup. I'm thinking maybe both would be a bad idea, but it might be too expensive.
Sorry for the rant! I just need some help....
Thanks!

Is it possible that a LC Large doesnt fit?
A little Background.
Im 25yr old with two children born vaginally over 8 pounds I gave a dry run w/ my LC small and was able to catch CM in the cup (was close to Ovulation) so, I would say I was successful. Last night I decided to give my Large a try after I just ordered a MeLuna. I attempted inserting the large with a punch down fold c fold and 7 fold. I feel it pop and open I try and give it a twist and and it jst slides out. I tried not giving it a twist and it still came out. I tried sitting on the toilet and inserting or laying down and even squatting. I am scared that Large may not be my size and I just ordered a MeLuna in Size Medium which seems to be similar in size as the Lady cup Large.

LilacCup and Inside-out?
Hello again everyone lol.
I just got my new large and small LilacCups! Hurrah!
On my test runs I noticed that it's kind of hard to remove, and I heard that sometimes putting it inside-out could help, does anyone have any experience doing this? And tips you could give for removal? Since it's super super slippery, =) thanks.

A cup for my little sister!
So, my mother and I were discussing periods and how you should handle them with my little sister today. Shes 12, 13 in about a month, and has had her period for a little under a year. My mom bought it up because she just did my sister's laundry and found her underware all stained from her last period. My sister got sort of angry at my mother, who won't let her use tampons, for lecturing her since she isn't giving her any other options. My mom got pretty grossed out and so my sister came to me to talk.
My mother told me not to mention the cup to my sister, because my mother is extremely closed minded on the subject of menstruation, but I explained to my sister that she really shouldn't use tampons because they aren't very good for your insides. She asked me if there were any other options aside from disposable pads and I told her there was but that mom didn't want me to tell her about it. She already knows about reusable pads and thinks they're weird... but shes 12, so thats understandable. She doesn't like the idea of carrying a bloody pad around with you until you get home and can wash it.
Now, my sister is pretty physically active. This is one of the main reasons she doesn't like pads. They make her itch, and when shes running around, she often has to stop and shift them back into place since they move around. The moving around also causes leaks. Also, she sleeps on her back, and doesn't like waking up with bloody sheets because she wasn't able to sleep on her tummy all night.
I know shes young, and I know my mother said not to tell her about cups, but I did anyway. At first she laughed at the idea, but then she started seeing the benefits of it as well. She saw the eco-friendly aspect right off the bat before I even mentioned it, and was really excited about the fact that it means she won't have to carry around pads in her purse. She was intimidated by the cup I showed her, the small Diva, but I told her that cups come in MUCH smaller sizes than that, and that one was made for older people like me. She wanted to see, so I showed her the small LadyCup and MeLuna cups in comparison to the small Diva. Like many others, she absolutely loves the MeLuna website and wants the purple model with the ball stem. I told her I'd get it for her birthday, but here is where my big problem is: I leave for college in about 3 weeks.
I'd love to move my sister over to cups. She is very excited about it, and just loves the idea. But I don't want to get it for her and then go off to school. My mother has apparently placed parental restrictions on her text messaging, and so she can't text certain words(so silly!), so we came up with a secret phrase already... if she needs help, she will text me "I need help with my cookies! Please call me!" and thats that. I'm just concerned that she'll freak out or something to that extent and that no one will be able to help her, because my mother isn't cup-friendly.
While I'd really like to wait until the XL comes out so that I can order both cups together, but I'd rather have her cup for her so that she can use it on her period and come to me in person with any questions rather than on the phone. I can't show her a better fold on the phone, and I can't demonstrate which angle might be a better way to insert, and I can't give her an encouraging hug on the phone either.
Also, heres a question from her, what size should she get? She goes through about 3 maxi pads per 24 hour day on her period, but since she moves around so much, she leaks. We were leaning towards the small of either the LadyCup or MeLuna, and are ready to order, but I'm not sure that her period won't be too heavy for these cups. I suppose this is a silver lining to having the XL out later, so that if she has to change the cup too often, I can just order her the next size up if she needs it. We looked at the charts in comparison to tampons, but she only uses pads.
Pretty much any insight into going from pads to cups would be helpful, preferably from the youngest users on the site, or those of you who have young daughters/sisters who you've given the cup to with success.
Edit: Just wanted to add that while my mother won't buy her tampons for her to use, she has used them before when a pad wasn't available. Its not that she isn't comfortable with penetration, but that my mother isn't comfortable with making it readily available to her, due to her own experiences. My mother got a tampon stuck in her after somehow pulling the string off, hence her apprehension on letting my sister, or myself, use them. She wouldn't buy them for me until I got to high school, and even then she only wanted me to use them for swimming, but since I ran track, pads were just inconvenient. Sorry if that didn't make sense the first time, just thought I'd clarify.
Also, its only for protective reasons that my mother doesn't want her to use a cup, but the things she wants to protect her from aren't really applicable in the same way that they are with tampons.

Ladycup Exchanges?
Hi everyone! I found this community half a year ago and learned about menstrual cups for the first time, but didn't get serious about wanting to buy one until now, so I have been reading a lot of the posts here. Thanks to all the information that everyone has provided!
I have a question regarding purchasing a Ladycup and forgive me if it has already been discussed, but I was unable to find anything in doing a search, so thought I would ask it here.
On Ladycup's own website (http://www.ladycup.eu/Default.aspx?tabid=5 5), it says "Should you choose the wrong size, we will replace the LadyCup® you purchased with another size." Does this mean Ladycup will exchange it for free? Or does this mean you can exchange it, but you will be charged for the second cup? Has anyone done this and if so, what were your experiences?
I am looking at this option because I am not sure which size I should get. I would like to get the larger size due to the capacity, but am not sure if it will be too long for me. I would like the option of being able to switch to the smaller size if the larger one is too long for me.
Also, I understand that Ladycup also sells their own merchandise over eBay. Does anyone know if the exchange policy holds on the eBay purchases or not? I would think that it does not apply to the eBay purchases, but just wanted to see if anyone knew for sure.
Thanks! :)

Got my Pinkcup Today!
So I've been awaiting this for like a week now. I was at my college yesterday and when I was gone, it came.. I live in a condo complex so they couldn't leave it at my door. So I had to go to the post office. Picked it up and now I'm home! It's so cute. I can't wait to use it. I'll probably use it lots cuz of discharge (TMI I KNOW) but I do get a lot of that. Unfortunately, even though I've had my period for 5 years now, it's NEVER REGULAR. Last time I got it was in May.. No, I'm not preggo. So maybe I shall get it soon. I'm gonna do a few try runs to see how it is. I will definitely let you guys know, and maybe post some pics. HOORAY!

Mooncup hates Ladycup
Just had my first period with my green ladycup, I have already been using a Mooncup (UK) for almost a year. I had a few dry runs with the ladycup before my period arrvied and didn't envisage any problems with it. To begin with it was fine but after using it overnight there seemed to be a lot of blood on the outside of the cup, it looked as if it had run out of the diagonal holes. Anyway, it hadn't leaked so I wasn't too worried. Throughout the following day I had a bit of leakage and although it wasn't much I would have been happier with a pantyliner if I'd been going out anywhere.
Because I had never had a single tiny bit of leakage with my mooncup I decided to swap back again next time I emptied out. After a couple of hours I went to the loo and I had massive leakage from the mooncup! I felt like it was getting revenge on me for using another cup. It was really strange because there was plenty of blood inside it and absolutely none on the outside when I removed it so I don't know how it could have leaked, there was just no evidence. My mooncup has also been much easier to insert, pop and remove since I used the ladycup. Its all a bit spooky, its like my mooncup was punishing me by leaking then miraculously rectifying every fault I had with it to stop me using ladycup again.
Anyway, what I'm really getting at here is does anyone find the direction of the ladycup holes to cause leaks? I know its only my first period with it but I didn't trust it enough to go to work with it in today, I went for my mooncup instead.
Also, does anyone else experience cup rivalry like this?

I'm so excited for my new cup.. I think.
Hey guys! New user here!!
Just a little intro first: I'm 20, not a virgin and I've had no kids.
Anywho, I've been lurking around here for about two days now and am so happy that I happened to stumble upon this community. It's so informational and helpful. I've decided that I want a Pinkcup after reading about all the cups, and I am currently having a bid war, via ebay, for a S&L Multipack of the Pinkcup. I'm due for my period in about a week and a half, and assuming I win the product (we're at about $30 which is NOT bad for two cups, so I'm stoked) I was just wondering.. if you're in the US, how long did your Ladycup take to get to you?
Also.. I would like to hear some more pros and cons of the Ladycups. I understand they're a bit slippery, but it's nothing you can't overcome, right? Also.. Is the softer silicone in anyway better than the harder silicone?
Thank you :D <3

Lunette Selene vs. Lilaccup
So ideally I would want to get a Lunette Selene, however with the current FDA trouble and higher costs, I am not sure. My second choice is a Lilac Lady Cup which I can get for roughly $26.80 with coupons and color sales, compared to the $45 cost of the Lunette and the difficulties with the FDA. So, should I compromise gripper ridges, tab stem, and a larger capacity for the $20 difference? Also would the prices go down when the FDA drama is over and when will the drama end?

Colored Lady Cups - photos and eBay?
I keep toying with buying another Lady Cup since I liked the "trial" one I got when they were selling off the faulty batch. I'm considering the green and the orange colored ones, and I'm wondering if anyone has photos of these so I can see better what they look like and not just the fancy promotional shots, especially if you have a photo of one next to a normal uncolored cup (any brand).
Also I think people have said they can find Lady Cups cheaper on eBay, but I'm not sure what search terms you use since "ladycup" as one word turns up nothing, "lady cup" as two words turns up bras, and "menstrual lady cup" also turns up nothing. Is there a specific store on eBay that I should be looking at?
Thanks!

LilacCup Removal... Slippery!
I posted a few months back about how my old Size 1 Diva was working perfectly post-partum, but after my lucky first cycle, it started leaking (just barely), and I realized I would need to buy a mommy sized cup. Since I'd started turning the Diva Cup inside out for the first two days of my period when my cervix is lowest, I decided to try a different brand. Plus, I just really wanted a purple cup.
The first thing I noticed when my large LilacCup (by Ladycup)arrived was that it was freaking HUGE compared to my smaller sized Diva. I couldn't believe how much of a difference those few millimetres in width made and was a bit concerned it would be too big and unable to pop sufficiently open. I got the chance to try today, and while it is quite squished in there and doesn't form anything close to a circle, it does form a good seal and caught everything just fine. It was mildly uncomfortable and I found it caused cramping whereas the Diva Cup reduced cramping for me. I actually found the suction to be much stronger with the LadyCup, and I found myself actually missing the measurement lines a bit, but overall it wasn't bad for the first day. I would call it a success.
The problem came when I tried to remove the thing. Holy crap, that cup is slippery! I knew it wouldn't have as easy a grip as the Diva, but honestly, the tiny little grippers on the bottom of the LC did nothing at all to help me remove it. I've been using cups for years and know how to properly remove them, but this was just so incredibly slippery that I couldn't pull it down at all. I had to reach my finger all the way up to the top, push the rim against my poor cervix, and yank it all the way out from the top, spilling most of the blood in the process. It was not comfy or fun!
I still like the LC a lot and would like to stick with it for the beginnings of my periods (my beloved Diva still works fine for days 3 and later of each period.) But if I don't get this removal situation sorted out, I'm going to have to head out to buy a Size 2 Diva instead. If anyone has any suggestions for overcoming the slippery-omg-no-grip situation with the LC, I'd really appreciate it! I want a pretty purple cup!

Mooncup Vs.GreenCup
I just got my new GreenCup (small) through the post yesterday and I thought I'd just give a bit of info on how I've got on with it so far. I know there are lots of comparisons on here but I think it's good to have lots of peoples opinions to help others' decide because everyone is so different...anyway...
Size-wize it is smaller in rim width and length but the inside of the rim and the actual body of the cup look the same size as the small MCUK. It is simillar in firmness around the rim and area where the holes are but the body of the cup is softer and squishier. The holes are HUGE!! But I think this will be a good thing for me for both cleaning and suction.
On a dry run it has been really easy to insert and remove although, like some LadyCup users I have found it to be a bit tricky to get a good grip of to remove. I have cut most of the stem off after a couple of trials but may remove all of it in the future as I did with my MCUK. To insert I tried the punch-down fold to begin with as this is what I usually use with my MCUK and then the C-fold. both worked fine but I think C-fold is going to be my preferred fold for this cup as the punch-down was a bit hard to keep a good grip of with the cup being so slippery when wet (I can't do dry insertion).
I'll have to give an update in a couple of weeks when I've had my period but so far so good. I won't go overboard just yet incase I have an awful period with it but I think it's going to be my cup of choice really. My MCUK is comfy enough once placed correctly but I often have trouble getting it in and getting it to open. Lots of you have suggested firmer cups pop more easily but I find the opposite to be true for me, my MCUK would stay folded all day if I didn't let some air into it. With GreenCup I still had to let air in to get the cup to be rounded out but the rim seems to pop open straight away. Viscious circle with MCUK - C-fold won't go in but pops best, punch down goes in best but won't pop (sod's law)

I was looking on Ebay at the Lady cups that are there and I'm just wondering....
-Why are they so much cheaper? (I've heard some of them split... they can't be selling those?)
-Does the Lady cup company actually own the store?
-Why are the cups so much cheaper there?
.... I really want to convince my mom to get paypal so we can get a mix pack together. They're really cheap!
:) Help?
EDIT:
I mailed the seller to ask whether these cups are actual Lady Cups, and received this answer:
Hello, Yes all menstrual cups are from LadyCup. The price is special only for auction. Best regards, Iveta Stutzova
Just if anyone else was curious. :)
EDIT (again!):
I bought a mix lilaccup pack for about 23,50$ USD (~26$ Canadian... I had to be careful of exchange rates!)
So excited to receive it. Mom and I are going to split the pack. Hope all goes well!
Thanks for your comments!

Getting better with my Orage Cup.
So I finally got the hang of this cup. My fav. fold with this small LadyCup is punch down because I get it to open easily than the smaller fold Triangle which tends to turn side way when it goes in...
I do not know if this is common or I did something wrong, but when I insert the cup I will feel slight discomfort in my lower abdominal for awhile when it sucks its way up.
Unlike, a lot of girls who has problem with this cup riding up too high(from what I read so far)....I have a problem that it is sitting way too low and the stem is poking my hymen. I cut half of it off because I still need the stem. It is still poking though but not as bad.
I found out that my cervix is so low. I have really short fingers, but I could touch my cervix with my middle finger. I noticed that my cervix is not pointed straight down but rather pointing at the tail bone. Is that normal? What's tilted cervix?
I managed to remove the cup by doing punch down fold, and then take it out. It was a dry run though because I don't have my period yet. I am not sure if I am going to be able to fold it out if there's liquid in there.
Update: So I got my period last night. This morning I removed it with punch down fold and it came out a big mess LOL it was leaking so I guess it was super full.
I think that it forms a seal, but when I try to feel the rim it was too hard to get to because I cannot fit my finger through it. I did notice that the bottom is stil squishy though. Don't know what that means...
Any input is very appreciated :)

I made an icon (nine now!)
...to celebrate my newfound Cup happiness. The first one is a very happy looking icon if I say so myself. It shows all (or most) of the colours Ladycups come in. The second version is slightly different at the end.
The third version is not animated.
The other three speak for themselves ;-)
Please feel free to grab one if you like it!

(Okay, that's my posting quota used up for this week ;-))

I did it!
After hours and days of deliberation, I did it! I bought a PinkCup...two actually: a small and a large. I wanted to once again say that I think that this site is such a GREAT source of information; this is the most informative cite (site or cite? I'm totally blanking here...finals are frying my brain cells) I have found (and I think that I've done some pretty hardcore searching), and it provides such useful, viable, and mostly unbiased information (not like the actual cup websites).
So I have yet to be able to try my cups because I had them shipped to my house, but I do go home tomorrow so I'll be able to do a dry run quite soon (I think that with the stress of finals, though, it won't be a dry run for too long...I have a feeling it will come sooner than normal [which has been a problem lately, any ideas why?]). Any advice on my first experiences with the cup?
One final concern, I'm pretty sure I've read something about this before, but I'd just like to "re-verify"-- Ok, so I've had to use super tampons because of my heavy flow and proneness to awful leaking issues, but I am a virgin and just 19 years old. Will the large Lady be a problem? I think the small will just not be suitable for my flow, but I wanted to try it anyway, and the large seems to be the smaller of the large cups.
Thanks again to everyone!
