Hey guys. First I want to apologize for not taking care of this community the way that I should have. I didn't mean to slack so much but my life has gotten very busy and I don't have the time or tools for icon making or hosting an icontest (I had to change computers and all my caps are on my other computer).

However, I would like to say that I have found very capable new mods in thiscanbegin and siriusly_sex. They took over one of my other communities, greg_stillness and have done a very good job running it. So hopefully it will hold true that this community will be given the attention it deserves.

It's been fun, and I want to thank all of you for your participation so far and I hope you all continue to participate in the future.

Originally I was going to do the challenge tomorrow and just keep doing this by myself, but computer issues and time issues are going to make it hard to gather up caps for each challenge. So! I have taken on a co-mod, thiscanbegin. She already helps co-mod greg_stillness (one of my old communities) and miami_menstills. I encourage you guys to also enter at those communities.

Anyway, we're working it out but the new challenge will go up soon, I promise.

I apologize that I'm taking so long with the current challenge (I had to reinstall AOL and I'm getting used to the upgraded version).

So, as is the tradition here, every 5th challenge is unique in some way. Now we did a contest with high res pics before, but this is differnt. As you can see, I haven't uploaded anything. I am, however, putting up a link to different pages at Modern Day Gallery, which is a site I use any time I need hi-res CSIverse pics. But I'm not directing you to promo stills. What I am directing you to is promotional photoshoot pages. Please only use pictures from these pages (sorry there aren't that many on the NY page).

You are allowed to have women in the icons if they're included in the picture, since this isn't a character-centric challenge. You may submit 6 icons which are due on September 7th. No blending/using two different images in one icon and no animations.

And another reminder: don't forget to enter the layout and icon contest!

Special Challenge - Layout & Icon

Since our 25th challenge is coming up, I believe it is time to change our layout again! This time it'll be a little different.

- You must make a 700x300 banner and/or a 100x100 icon.
- Your icon must be text only on a white background. You can use brushes, but the only text that must be legible is the name of the community (ie, "menofcsi_stills", "menofcsi_stills@lj.com" or "menofcsi_stills@livejournal.com")
- Your banner must focus on one of the three shows and feature at least three male characters (you may always add more).

Now, the icons and the banners will be judged seperately. It is possible for two different people to make two different parts of this layout, and any winners will be credited in the userinfo.

Deadline is September 7th. Please leave your banners and/or icons here.

I was asked by the mods at greg_stillness to advertise their community for those who are Greg Sanders fans. There haven't been many entries lately and they would appreciate any icon support they can get.

Also, the same mods run miami_menstills which is a great community for all the men of CSI: Miami.
