Hi again :D

As requested by dirtybeauty. (: I tried my hand at iiiit. I really love this song!
It's like it was really hard to translate because iono, it was like I understood the song really well but when it came to translating it, it was hard to word it in English poetically and in a way that it didn't lose its meaning :\ But I tried my best! Some of them were sorta like, just REALLY Japanese ways to say stuff and it didn't translate well to English. forgive random weird wording please >_< I haven't double checked anything, so it's possible I'll edit these later on.
Happy holidays!

Music: kanashi - RADWIMPS

Hello everyone! :D

I just recently found this LJ community. (:
After coming back from Japan this summer during my one week homestay over there, my friend showed me a band that she had been introduced to by her host sister. Lo and behold, that band was none other than RADWIMPS ! :D I really love them. Recently, I've been listening to 25コ目の染色体 (Ni juu go ko me no senshokutai), which I translate to "The 25th Chromosome."

Kanji, Roomaji, and English Translation )

I enjoy translating lyrics when I really like a song, and I also translate other random things such as videos and I'm just about to finish my first drama project. I'm not fluent (unforunatelyyy D:) but I like to think I'm getting better day by day :D I do take requests, so request away! (though, of course, time cannot be gauranteed. specially since it's the holidays!)
If you'd like to check out any of my other translations, feel free to check out my community, [info]veeai_project !

(also, if taking, always credit [info]veeai_project  or my [info]blog! thanks :D)

A while back in spring, B-PASS did a mini "7 Keywords"-type interview with RADWIMPS which was part of a longer feature/interview to promote the latest RADWIMPS album. I decided to translate it because it contains quite a few interesting bits and pieces about the new album, about what bands RADWIMPS are into and about the band's obsession with DekaVita and who paid for Youjirou's IKEA wardrobe ^^;

- [Translator's notes look like this.]

7 Keywords in search of RADWIMPS

We set out to analyze (!?) RADWIMPS for everyone who wants to know more about RAD and, of course, their album with the help of seven keywords.

The origin of the album title

Noda: I like mathematics but I've never really believed in "theorems" or "propositions" [Japanese: teiri]. It's just that in my opinion this album can become a kind of "solution" when you're confronted with problems and doubts in your life.
"Alt" [Japanese: aruto] is a term which refers to a register. It's pretty high for a man and totally fits the songs we recorded.
The term "colony" [Japanese: koronii] expresses our wish to create a collective with this album.
And it's also a pun on "in a land far, far away" [Japanese: aru tokoro ni]. *laughs* We have some fairy tale-inspired songs, like track 8 on the album which is called Meruhen to Gureeteru [Märchen to Gretel, English: Fairy Tales and Gretel] too, so we thought we just had to give the album that title.

The design concept of the album cover [click here for a close-up]

Yamaguchi: I think the cover image represents what we are as a band quite nicely in the sense that it maintains its balance even though it looks like it's out of balance and it becomes one whole being the second its respective components are put together with a certain intention. The character on the cover looks a lot like Youjirou because it's wearing a hat, so it was exactly the right thing for us and we instantly chose it to be on the cover. According to Nagato Tetsuya, the collage artist who let us select one of his works, the character's name is "Jack" [Japanese: Jakku] because we used it as the album cover [jaketto (jacket) in Japanese]. *laughs*

Heyho guys :3

I wondered if there are any useful translations of ジェニファー山田さん / Jennifer Yamada-san?
Sadly I could only find this one - but let's face the truth: It's the google translation D:

This song was the first earcatcher I got about Radwimps. Perhaps I wouldn't love them like I do now, if I wouldn't have listened to it. But seriously, it would be kind of nice knowing what Noda's singing about *_*

(Here are the original lyrics.)

It's weird... Radwimps updated their journal, but it's not showing on the site version, yet. D:? I thought the site blog was directly from their livedoor, but I'm not sure. He posted it on the livedoor. I love when he posts. So simpleeeee. I lied.

Yodachan wrote it. :) )

Yay! They haven't really been doing too much lately. There is a new scorebook coming out.... That's really it. ):

Hello!!
Some time ago I saw in youtube Kaniashii's PV with english subs... but it looks as if it was deleted for some reason and I was trying to find again the english lyrics but I can't find them anywhere.
I wonder if someone have them ^^' or maybe the PV with subs.

Thanks in advance.

In my last post, I said I would translate requests, so here's the first one of the batch! "iin desu ka?" was the most popular request :D I love this song and the lyrics are amazing as always, so I hope everyone enjoys~ ^^

The kanji is stolen from goo音楽. Of course, since I am not a native speaker of Japanese, mistakes are inevitable, and I don't mind having them pointed out to me :D

Hello everyone~

I posted translations for the first 7 songs on RADWIMPS latest album a couple of months ago (post is here), and even though I had the others mostly translated, real life came and kicked me in the butt and I had no time to refine them. They're still pretty rough, but I figured putting them up now would be better than putting about for another two months. Sorry for the wait!

The kanji is stolen from goo音楽 and I included all the English lyrics for 雨音子 for completion.

Please read, enjoy, and discuss~

BONUS!
Since I made everyone wait, as an apology gift, I'll take translation requests. Everyone can choose one song they want translated, and though I make no promises on time, I'll get them done! :D
