| About: |  Intro Welcome to Melrose_Icons, a Melrose Place icon contest. Melrose Place was one of the ost definitive shows of the 90's and now it's on DVD. To celebrate, I've opened up this Melrose Place Icon Challenge community. Each week there will be a challenge, with either two or three sections. Rules 1. Each week there will be either a cap, a base and a lyric/quote. The icon(s) must be made from at least one of these. 2. Icons can be animated. Icons can be still. 3. Icons must fit LJs requirements. (<40K, =<100x100) 4. You needn't be a member of the community to vote. 5. For lyric challenges, at least three consecutive words from the lyric must be used on the icon. At least four consecutive words must be readable. Small/tiny text can be present, but four consecutive words must be readable. 6. Icons must be anonymous, therefore no posting anywhere else until the winner is announced. Then you can do whatever you like with it! :D Submitting 1. Each week there will be a post with the weeks cap, base and lyric/quote. 2. All entries are to be submitted as a comment to this post. 3. All comments will be screened. 4. Up to 2 icons may be submitted per week per person, Unless stated otherwise. 5. These icons must be made specifically for the contest and may not be used in other places until the winner has been announced. 6. Entries must be in by the date stated. 7. Post votes like the following - Section 1 Icon #998 gets 3 points Icon #765 gets 2 points Icon #325 gets 1 point Section 2 Icon #273 gets 3 points Icon #791 gets 2 points Icon #271 gets 1 point 4. The winners and the next week's caps, base and lyric/quote will be announced on Sunday each week. 5. Don't get people you know to vote for you. That's not fair, is it? 6. Don't vote for yourself that's just...pathetic. If you vote for yourself and you entered an icon, the icon will be disqualified along with your votes, albeit only for that week .
