Wet ink - Zine Exhibition
An interactive exhibition of the lastest Zines to be added to the City Library collection is running in The Gallery @ City Library from Feb 14 - Feb 28. The opening night on Wednesday 20 Feb, 6.00 - 7.45pm, will feature an acoustic set by Mandy Kane, and catering by the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
Hoping to see a bunch of you there :)
Clumps of Zines pegged to lengths of twine, allow the audience to really become involved with the exhibition. Library patrons are invited to take the Zines down from the gallery wall, look through them and then peg them back into the exhibition.
In addition to the original collection, there will be baskets of pegs left in the gallery for Zine enthusiasts to donate their creations to the City Library Zine collection by adding them directly to the exhibition itself, making this a truly interactive and evolving art exhibition.
We're also running a Zine workshop over two sessions. Thursday 21 Feb 5.30 - 7.30, and Friday 22 Feb 4.30 - 5.30. Check out City Library's website for mote info. www.citylibrary.org.au
