You're not guaranteed an answer, or the right one, and we just may have fun with it, but the point is to ask and answer questions.
You are welcome here if you have no questions and just want to comment or lurk and read posts.
Purpose: Forum for discussion of human medicine and health-related topics through question and answer. Communities have the potential to provide more comprehensive answers than you and Google. They are also the place to go when you just don't know what keywords to use, or simply want direct input from other humans.
Appropriate: Questions about field specialties, schooling, or equipment; questions about drug studies, interactions, reactions and side effects, uses off-lable and on; symptom listing (for thoughts/ideas, suggestions on who to see, NOT an official diagnosis); questions about tests and procedures; questions about human biology, health in general, or fitness; posts asking for help with homework relating to human medicine/health issues (but not asking us to DO your homework).
Inappropriate: Requests for help acquiring illegal substances, services, or materials; soliciting illegal substances, services, or materials; using the community and its members as a substitute for someone with an honest-to-God MD in their pocket; repeated hypochondriac posts about every minor ailment (you WILL be told to find a shrink); advertisements for other communities or websites/services (may result in banning without notice and in post deletion); posts without a question.
