I will be having a tibial tubercle osteotomy next month and promise to take a lot of pictures.
I'm also going to try to convince the surgeon to allow it to be video taped, but I'm not holding my breath on that.
So, staples, scarring, leg immobilizers, crutches and probably blood is coming soon.
I will also probably take pics on me right before surgery with IVs and stuff

a while ago my dad had a serious motorbike accident in which he nearly died. in fact he definitly would have done if it wasnt for a passer by quickly appling a tourniquet to his leg.
when they re-constructed the leg it was left much shorter then the other. The Ilizarov Technique was used over a period of a year to legenthen the leg. every day he would go up by 1mm untill at the end of the year he leg had increased by 10cm.
i recently found the photographs that were taken at the time.

the last post made me think of my favorite site, project facade

an english artist made costumes (for you costume people) (just kidding, they're awesome, especially in this case) which represent the injuries and surgical reconstructions endured by great war veterans when reconstructive surgery was in its infancy.

the case section is particularly interesting. amazing photos, stories, and don't forget to check out the video of the prosthetic faces.

Freyagushi is experimenting the use of actual medical tools in clothing.That show will feature some new medical pieces like accessories from bloody bandages only and new nurse pedical outfits..

Hi peeps I'm back! I'm really sorry for not getting back to the people who replied to my last post but I've had a huge internet problem after moving house (never again will i live in a listed building!). Anyway I'm all set up again in a new studio and I'm looking for models!! I want to start a new medical range the last one was alright and it will continue but I need photos of all the items so if your interested in doing a shoot mail me. I've updated my website and it REALLY needs eyecandy.

Here's the catch! I can't really pay for the shoots, if you like the item then i'm okay if you keep it!? How does that sound? I can arrange for local photoshoots but all other items will need to be arranged by the model/photographer...
I have a few "home" pictures of some items I've already made but the rest are "works in progress" or sketches but here's a list of what i want in the next collection...
