Yep, this thread is for plot bunnies and challenges.

This comm is for fanfictions which, among other things,
* take a closer look at one of the things that a show didn't really touch on. (ie, what sort of society did Kaywinnitt Lee Fry come from?)
* watches the effects on a community from a change to things (ie, earlier gunpowder in Robin Hood's England)

AUs are welcome (ie, what if Octavian had lost the Roman Civil War?)
crossovers are welcome**

So far, there will likely be a ficathon in this comm...however, for those who don't think they can spare the time a ficathon requires, that's no problem - this comm is not purely for ficathon entries...regular fics (that apply) are welcome as well.

Thus far, the ficathon will be in early or late fall. Even so, I'd like to get an idea of what everyone wants to do.

So far, it seems to be that most (not neccessarily all) of the fandoms involved will be some of the smaller ones...series like SG1 and Andromeda are too big, sadly. Firefly, as far as I know, is borderline.

Basically, when we have sign-ups, everyone can say in which fandoms (from the finished list) they'd be willing to write in.

Note: if you don't see a show or event you'd want to write, just hit Reply and mention it. I'll be sure to add it to the list.

Clarification: no Real Person Fic; you can write the Julius Caesar from, say, 'Rome' or the Nero from Doctor Who...it has to be from a tv or film source.

** = don't just have the Wraith (SG:A) fight the Reavers (Firefly) for the battle itself - show or tell us how the fight is changing the combatants...and-or how it's affecting the people that either combatant normally feeds upon.

Here is the rough schedule of events for the ficathon:
17th October-7th November -- Sign-ups and entries sent in. (Entries go to the next post)
5th December -- Entries sent out to participants.
5th January -- Post the fics.

(or should it be 15 January?)
