Welcome to the first annual My Chemical Romance Halloween fanfiction challenge.
This community was inspired by the multitude of Christmas themed fanfiction exchanges out there (such as

oneandonlytrey and I wanted to make something similar for Halloween, since we both love the holiday more than Christmas,and felt that, in the spirit of Trick-Or-Treating, and with the nature of My Chemical Romance's imagery as a band,
why shouldn't there be something like that for Halloween?
The problem came when I started to think about what it would take to orchestrate such an exchange, and how we would be able to pull that off with our somewhat busy schedules.
Then I got the idea to make it into a challenge, something more in the spirit of
bandom_100, rather than an exchange.That way, everyone could write something they really wanted to write (instead of having to force themselves to write something based on one person's specific request)
and hopefully everyone could find something that they wanted to read from the completed stories.
And us mods wouldn't have to worry about pairing up requests to authors,
finding pinch hitters to write for people who've pulled out or failed to submit, and all that mess.
And so this community was born.

2008 Schedule
October 26th: All sign ups receive posting access, posting of completed stories begins.
November 1st: End of submissions, posting access closed until next year.
